i mean, i get not wanting to have a 'now a motion picture!' sticker on a book. but it being East of Eden in particular, cracks me up, because twenty-odd-years ago every cover of it had the Oprah book club emblem.
@hungryfuturian Quadrilateral Cowboy doubled down on quiet moments with friends between 'the job' segments being what's really important. Not a blendo game, but Paratopic had quiet moments of isolation between the action, waiting for an elevator, listening to talk radio on a long night drive...
@hungryfuturian never played that one, but Thirty Flights of Loving is by far the most interesting narrative as gameplay that i've encountered. it's a heist gone wrong, but it stops for tiny moments, like watching party ornaments blow in the wind and peeling oranges on a balcony.
Um cara recomendou esse num grupo de facebook um tempão atrás falando que "é um filme em que dois caras vão jantar, mas um secretamente quer matar o outro" e o filme não é nada disso, é só eles conversando, aí toda vez que um pegava faca pra cortar comida eu pensava "é agora"
