the server room was unlocked cause it was getting cleaned

the admin password was on a sticky note on the monitor

i could have compromised everything in 10 minutes

.@Stanford University already cools data centers with zero water loss (and has for a decade) through a 4th-generation district heating/cooling system (the cooling system makes it 4th-gen).

The system consists of two chillers and a boiler and 42 km of cold water pipes and 35 km of hot water pipes around the university to heat and cool buildings, including data centers. The chillers are cooled and boilers are warmed with air-source heat pumps that use waste heat from data centers and waste heat/cold from buildings as their air source. Electricity for the heat pumps and almost all campus uses is offset from 150 MW of solar the university purchased.

Stanford was the first university to be 100% renewable for heating, cooling, and electricity.

I just reverse engineered the YellowKey BitLocker bypass

Microsoft shipped code that checks for a flag called "FailRelock" in every Windows 11 recovery image. When it's set to 1, after recovery unlocks your BitLocker drive, it never relocks it. All you need is a USB stick.

This code only exists in the recovery environment. Not in normal Windows. They left an entire debug testing framework in production.

Most people don't understand the amount of time that goes into creating content. Each video of mine, has to go through 5 phases:

1. Preparation - this phase involves preparing scripts / slides / content for the video. This phase takes up the most time.

2. Recording - this phase involves the actual recording of the video which surprisingly takes up the least amount of time.

3. Editing - this phase takes up at least 3 times the duration of the video. So if the video was an hour long, then it requires 3 hours to edit. My videos are course style and so they don't require heavy editing. Had they required heavy editing, it could easily take up over 3 times the duration of the video.

4. Uploading - this phase involves uploading the video on Youtube / Academy, adding a description to the video, a thumbnail, tags, outro, info cards, etc.

5. Subtitles - adding English subtitles is something that I've recently started working on.

It's so easy for this to become a full time job if you're releasing on a weekly schedule 😅 I used to keep track of everything in my head, but with 140+ videos, I had to create an excel document to keep track of the status of each video!
