As #VivaFilms gears up for the nationwide release of its latest thriller-horror film, #Rosario, the cast remains confident that the movie can stand its ground despite opening alongside major Hollywood releases, including Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey” and Marvel Studios’ “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.”
During the film’s premiere night, the cast admitted feeling the pressure of going head-to-head with blockbuster international titles. Still, they expressed confidence that Filipino audiences will embrace the locally produced horror film because of its compelling story and powerful performances.
Leading the cast are #RoseVanGinkel, #AubreyCaraan, and #LanceCarr, alongside #JairusAquino, #MegImperial, #BernadetteAllyson, and #SuzetteRanillo. The ensemble shared their excitement ahead of the film’s nationwide release and hopes that moviegoers will continue supporting original Filipino horror on the big screen.
Written and directed by Roni S. Benaid, Rosario blends psychological suspense with supernatural horror, delivering a chilling cinematic experience filled with mystery, fear, and unexpected twists.
Despite the fierce box-office competition, the team remains optimistic that the film’s gripping narrative and positive word of mouth will help attract audiences seeking a homegrown horror experience.
Rosario opens in cinemas nationwide on August 5.

from being a supporting character(lance) to finally getting the spotlight(lancebrey)
so proud of you both, lance and aubs🙌🏼congratulations on your first movie as the lead characters. we'll always be here, cheering you on every step of the way. you both deserve this🥺🫶🏼
This night didn’t turn out the way I imagined it would.
It was supposed to be a happy day—a celebration, a joyous moment—because one of the dreams we’ve all been hoping for finally came true. We got to see you both walk the red carpet for your very first movie. But sometimes, life has its own way of unexpectedly changing the course of a beautiful night.
You’re both human. You’ll make mistakes. You’ll do things you’ll eventually regret—we all do. But being human is never an excuse to turn a blind eye or act as if nothing happened.
I’m still waiting. Honestly, I’m not even sure what I’m waiting for anymore. Maybe it’s because, deep in my heart, I still believe that the Lance and Aubrey who caught my attention last year—the ones whose wit, rawness, honesty, and authenticity made me admire them—are still there. The people who weren’t afraid to be genuine and true.
I’m saying all of this because I care. I want to see both of you become better versions of yourselves with each passing day. Growth doesn’t happen when we choose comfort or settle for who we are today. It happens when we’re willing to acknowledge our mistakes, learn from them, and do better.
Sometimes, you can’t just sit back and wait for the fire to burn itself out. Sometimes, you have to be the one to put it out. Listen. Speak up. Stand up for what’s right. And most importantly, be accountable for your actions. It may not always be entirely your responsibility, but as public figures, it’s important to remember that many young people look up to you. Not every situation can—or should—be brushed aside with humor.
If you’re going to ask me if I’m still upset, the answer is yes. Am I still disappointed? Very much so. But do I still care about both of you?
Without a doubt.
Despite everything, tonight is still your night. I will never invalidate the hard work, sacrifices, and patience it took for you to reach this milestone. You both deserve to celebrate this achievement, and I am genuinely happy for you.
Congratulations on your first movie together. I sincerely wish both of you nothing but continued success, growth, and the very best in everything that lies ahead. 🤍
with love,
iza
