@2ndwhitejesus Criteria for being trans:
Gender doesn’t align with gender assigned at birth. That’s all, it’s actually really simple. You don’t get to dictate other people’s transness, everyone’s journey is unique
@PieZRDone It’s not for younger audiences though? It’s of course fine if younger audiences do enjoy it, but the target demographic is older, at least young adults. Animation just happens to garner an audience of kids no matter the content
@OddTipMedia@pipeshotgun I think it’s a contributing factor in the attack on trans women. The patriarchy sees feminity as inherently sexual so transitioning to a woman must be a fetish. Yucky.
@OddTipMedia@pipeshotgun Yes absolutely! I was trying to make that point but struggled to find the words. Women have been seen as nothing but baby factories and sex objects for so long that anything even remotely feminine is objectified; to be feminine is to be sexual. It’s gross I hate it
@ZoeyMySilly I agree, like this isn’t cute it’s very uncomfortable and gross. It also puts all of Jax’s actions towards Gangle throughout the show in a different lens. I just know people with no media literacy are gonna treat this scene of sexual harassment as ‘sexual tension’
@pipeshotgun What’s the point being made in this post? Objectification leads to popularity, same thing happened to Goth culture. Are we categorizing all trans women and intersex people as pornographic for the same reasons? Absolutely not, so why the double standard?
@jefftheboxboy@EggNBac0n “Bilesbian” So you mean bisexual. I’m so glad queer discource has got to a point where words don’t mean anything anymore. Anyone can be lesbian and everyone is trans and bi people can be straight and cis men can be demigirls!
@Santino_Cermeo@RamenRetroid@hyperforg@harristic_ I don’t really consider that farming. Farms generate renewable items and are usually semi to fully automatic. But lapis is a finite resource and 100% manual.
@NikonRadish This convo has been very eye-opening, I definitely have some unlearning to do when it comes to sexual identities. Itll want people to feel comfortable in their skin, however that looks! Also hi fellow PNW’er :D
@NikonRadish You’re good! I appreciate you being informative, and I’m sorry if I came off as harsh. Though bi etymologically means 2, all bisexual people (including myself) I’ve known have always used it to mean all.
