From Gaza, to Congo, to Sudan, to Haiti, to Yemen and countless other nations that are suffering, to right here at home, it is our humanitarian call to stand against injustice.
it is not lost on me that this is a particularly atrocious time to purchase any new technology. i & others around the world have been learning more about slave labor in cobalt mines in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) 🇨🇩.
this has been my commitment since learning of present-day slavery in the Congo, & it is a commitment i am returning to & standing by wholeheartedly.
i am still developing my trust with using the new device & my previously hacked devices. i have not replaced any other devices, & with each use of them, i am hoping that the measures taken have been enough to end the hacking, stalking, & information leaks.
🇨🇩
one of the best things we can do to end slavery in the Congo is to interrupt the chain of supply-&-demand. let’s care for our devices well so we can use them for a long time & thereby refrain from purchasing more whenever possible.
the measures i have taken thus far—which extend beyond a number & iCloud change although i do not feel obligated to share them in detail—seem to have been effective.
i purchased a new device in order to change my phone number, deactivate my iCloud, & then compare the new device’s operations to those of my other hacked devices & see whether those measures would be effective enough in ending the hack.
regretfully, the situation reached a point where i felt i would no longer be able to continue my life unless i made greater attempts to escape the hacking, stalking, & leaking of private information.
the human rights abuses taking place in the Congo are the main reason i endured the digital hacking for so long. the hacker himself would have documented evidence of this in my typed journals.
haven’t had a full week alone with new phone (regardless, i like to view friend’s posts) & there are responsibilities to handle + info to transfer. the reduced time has been helpful: no breakdowns, panic attacks, or suicidal ideation this week.
