Another Value Bet of the day, Iridescent, $11 into $7.50, powers home down the outside to win well. Smart ride by @JasmineFawcett2 to be decisive early to go back, rather than go forward as was the pre-race plan.
A top ride by Masa Hashizume gets up the value bet of the day, Grand Gallo $7. And then backs up on Pick Of The Litter $13 identified as the value runner of that race- Rated Price $8.50. Stayed well off the inside all the way with a smart ride.
Top front running ride by @MattCartwrigh14 gets the bet of the day Kia Kaha $8 home well. A mixture of form analysis, Ratings, trials sectionals and AI makes for a profitable day. Live On Air is a solid eachway chance at $13 in the last.
Angels Brew and Anton, the bet and the value bet of the day, win at excellent odds at Cambridge with top rides. Exclusive trials sectionals the key in Angels Brew win.
Another Value Bet wins well - Dubai’s Potoki $6.50 - looks in for a good Winter as trainer @ChrissyBambry said he will get better with time. Manners were much better too.
One of only two selections all day:
Confidence:2/5 Value Bet of the day 1st $12
4.Lae Zee has a very good bog track action which could get her into a place or if they go hard could win. Goes well on the fresh side and has a 4kg allowance. RP $4.50, $7 and $2 Top 3
A well timed finish on Lae Zee, value bet of the day, gets Hyeontaek Oh his first winner at Matamata at a great price of $12. Didn't touch her with the whip and nice balance. Looks a 4kg claimer worth following.
@TracksideNZ One tough horse. The sectionals he set were strong and proved he is one tough horse! ( Start to finish ) Race time 1.34.58
14.12 10.99 11.56 11.48 11.16 11.03 11.63, 12.62
@GuerinSports I was at the Matamata open day 20 November with about a dozen others. At the end I asked trainer Andrew Scott for a winner -he thought for a few seconds and replied to us all, Ohope Wins, she’s a very smart filly.
Terrific win by Bona Sforza at Riccarton. Only recommended bet at Riccarton at $9, Rated price $3! Perfect ride by Ace Lawson-Carroll and top training by Samantha Finnegan.
@TracksideNZ@HuntRacing Thanks Stephen. Great analysis. The sectionals live on trackside are really helpful too- especially the 200m ones. You have to allow around a second for the opening 400m as it looks as though it is hand triggered.
Thanks to a perfectly rated front running ride by @rorymhutch, Geneva leads all the way. Rated him a $2.20 chance and a well deserved win. Congrats Kylie Hoskins on presenting him so well.
