Friends, I’m running for Oklahoma AFL-CIO President.
Now more than ever, Oklahomans need the kinds of policies that unions fight for. I’ve worked alongside Oklahomas unions during my time as a state representative, and I hope to work for them soon.
Let’s get to work!
it is absolutely imperative that you set up your timeline to encounter more old art, and less new AI slop. give your attention to artists who have labored painstakingly to actualize their vision, one intentional brushstroke at a time
@L9Xperience@KalshiPolitics Lifelong republicans are writing op eds in papers saying one party rule failed us. They’re making homemade “republicans for cyndi” yard signs. The people of this state deserve better govt. That blue state “what a waste” bullshit attitude is why fascism is on your doorstep & mine.
@RuiXuKS I heard it’s because of the solid leadership of the state rep there that it’s trending the way it is. It’s important, I think, to Rui-mind people of that fact and hopefully Xu away some of the haters.
@tedcruz Except right up front when he said “yes, absolutely”
You used to put a little more energy into your lying. You’re getting lazy about it. Maybe you’re just burnt out—a Cancun vacation should do the trick
.@JamesTalarico: I want to get back to the kind of capitalism we had in the middle of the 20th century in this country.
I want competition, but it’s got to be fair competition.
We’ve got to take on these monopolies, this consolidation, because again it’s fundamentally anti-capitalist.
Right now, our tax system literally taxes work more than it taxes wealth.
I’m advocating for a return to original capitalist principles where we actually reward work instead of wealth—an economy that creates fewer trillionaires and more millionaires.
I had no signal at all inside the stadium. THIS WAS THE BEST SPORTING EVENT I’VE EVER BEEN TO! We were sitting in the Oklahoma section, goosebumps throughout the entire 4th quarter!!!!
Turns out it’s $184,500 this year. I personally have never experienced the feeling of learning I’m no longer paying into SS because of my salary, but I’ve been educated by those who have. But at $250k or even $400k, I’d be happy to continue paying SS tax to fix it.
SS taxes are paid on the first $250k an earner makes, every year. If we just raised that to $400k we’d fix the social security problem.
There are candidates on your ballot this year who would do this & ones who like the boomer plan.
Figure out which is which & vote accordingly.
@joshuatheard Man call me crazy but I feel like people weren’t put on this earth to work til they die. I think a career of hard work should earn a person an opportunity to spend some years enjoying the fruits of their labor, spending time with family, etc while they’re still upright and mobile
@Andy_23_32@Spectromachina Ah see, I didn’t even know about the grok subscription. And I definitely can appreciate the longer character limit. Forced truncated responses in social media discussions breed over-generalization and misunderstanding. Diesel fuel for outrage culture.
@PrettyGonzo@Spectromachina You know, that’s fair. I too follow some trusted voices here who’ve gone verified to have more space to spell out their thoughts/explain facts. Maybe I was a little rude. Hey, I’m HUMAN, it happens! I do miss when Twitter was Twitter. Thanks for the authentic engagement.
