He knew the possible consequences of getting it wrong and used appropriate control measures backed up with common sense and good training.

@Mattisamazing33 It’s not hard to understand why. The first puppy we got in my childhood was a collie from the glens of Antrim. Our next three were also collies, and my present dog Bonnie is half collie in parentage though 💯 collie in outlook. Beautiful creatures but definitely high octane!

@Lunaria_40 Three years ago Bonnie lost an eye due to cancer and for the first week afterwards she would only sleep at night in my arms. Uncomfortable for me and not very restful but peaceful and secure for her. It wasn’t a hard choice to make.
