This result does not even tell the whole story; Awolowo was actually stoned in Aba when he went to campaign there. The question to ask Ibos is- Was Awolowo too a drug baron & a corrupt man?
More significantly, Awolowo flew a Christian/Christian ticket with an Ibo running mate in a bid to satisfy them but they still didnt vote for him. This tells u that it has never been about integrity, competence or having baggage, it is & will always be about ETHNICITY! Religion is a convenient excuse!
The labour of Yoruba leaders toward re-establishing a Nigeria we can all be proud of shall not be in vain.
Months before the recently concluded conference in Abuja, Yoruba leaders did everything possible to ensure that we get it right this time, after over 60 years of an Ibo-made unitary system.
Making bogus and unrealistic demands at every forum whenever the issue of returning to the regional system is discussed among the various nations of Nigeria has always been the strategy used by the Ibo nation to stall the process.
They see it as an attempt to kill the baby they brought to life on May 24, 1966. This strategy is stale, and it is dead on arrival now.
One would have thought that the Ibo, being the only nation full of endless criticism of every other nation in Nigeria, the only nation who have found reasons to unalive leaders from every part of the country except theirs at a point for unacceptable leadersgip, would be the most excited at the opportunity to demonstrate from the Ibo Region to the rest of Nigeria and the world all the great virtues and the unique ability they claim to possess.
Be that as it may, the good news is that every other nation in our union, except, of course, the Ibo nation, has been yearning for this change and is willing, excited, and ready to work with the Yoruba to actualise it now.
The question we pose to the Ibo nation is: What option do you have if the Yoruba, the Hausa, the Middle Belt, and the rest are saying, “No going back”?
Enough of the madness. The Yoruba Region must emerge through this ongoing effort. The ball is in our court.
The population of blacks in Iran are nearly 10 to 15 percent of Iran population.
They are descendants of enslaved black people brought from East and central Africa to the Persian empire by Arab slave traders.
Has anyone ever asked why you don’t see this 15 percent of Iran’s population on TV, politics or entertainment?
There is no religious brotherhood in power and politics.
Arabs destroyed Africa than any race in the world.
Hear what this man said, he said the day YORUBAS decided enough is enough is the day nigeria will be restructured. Because they have what it takes ECONOMICALLY INTELLECTUALLY AND POLITACALLY, we dey tell nna say Nigeria will only break IF yorubas said it is TIME 😂 no be MEME 😂
