Mel Gibson: "Every morning when I wake up, I actually pray that I don't deceive myself. Because... your mind is a very funny place. I've always said that it's your second thought and your first action that you're responsible for. Not your first thought."
Nigeria: Her Christian husband and two children, aged 3 years and 10 months, were slaughtered by Islamists right in front of her.
She and her only surviving child, aged 7, were left for dead, and her hand was chopped off.
The Persecuted Church in Nigeria needs all of us.
I’m turning 41, but I don’t feel like celebrating.
Our generation is running out of time to save the free Internet built for us by our fathers.
What was once the promise of the free exchange of information is being turned into the ultimate tool of control.
Once-free countries are introducing dystopian measures such as digital IDs (UK), online age checks (Australia), and mass scanning of private messages (EU).
Germany is persecuting anyone who dares to criticize officials on the Internet. The UK is imprisoning thousands for their tweets. France is criminally investigating tech leaders who defend freedom and privacy.
A dark, dystopian world is approaching fast — while we’re asleep. Our generation risks going down in history as the last one that had freedoms — and allowed them to be taken away.
We’ve been fed a lie.
We’ve been made to believe that the greatest fight of our generation is to destroy everything our forefathers left us: tradition, privacy, sovereignty, the free market, and free speech.
By betraying the legacy of our ancestors, we’ve set ourselves on a path toward self-destruction — moral, intellectual, economic, and ultimately biological.
So no, I’m not going to celebrate today. I’m running out of time. WE are running out of time.
What the HELL have I just watched?!
Two police officers visit a family home to seize a child's phone for *viewing a social media post*.
If she doesn't comply, they threaten to 'escalate'.
This is terrifying.
The police are out of control.

Why Bible Gateway is down in the UK/EU
I’ve seen some posts saying Bible Gateway being unavailable is a “satanic” move or the government trying to block Christianity. Here’s some context that helps explain what’s really happening.
👉 What Bible Gateway says
The site itself only says it’s down in the UK/EU because of “technical issues.” That’s the official statement so far.
👉 What’s most likely going on
This is almost certainly about website compliance with new regulations (like GDPR a few years ago, or the new Online Safety Act in the UK). Websites have to update how they handle things like:
• Protecting children online (blocking porn, preventing grooming, filtering violent/self-harm material).
• Tackling illegal content (terrorism, fraud, hate speech).
• Improving privacy & data use (making sure personal info is handled responsibly).
• Adding user tools (like reporting harmful material or appealing removals).
Until companies are sure they’re compliant, they sometimes block whole regions as a precaution. It’s inconvenient, but it’s not unusual.
👉 What it’s not
There’s no sign the government is targeting Christianity or trying to remove the Bible. Other Bible sites and apps are still available in the UK. The rules are about keeping people safer online, not censoring scripture.
👉 The bigger picture
Yes, it’s frustrating when a site we rely on is offline. But this looks like bureaucracy and technical work, not persecution. The same new laws forcing Bible Gateway to update are also what:
• stopped kids accessing porn,
• require platforms to reduce bullying and abuse,
• and demand more transparency from big tech companies.
So rather than panic, let’s be patient, pray for the tech teams working on it, and remember these rules are meant to make the internet safer for everyone.
👉 A word to fellow Christians
I’d encourage us, when websites or apps go down, to reach for our physical Bibles — the tangible Word of God we can hold in our hands. Let’s also think carefully before posting stirring or alarming content on social media, where it’s easy for rumours to spread and for people to get caught up in fear about things that may not actually be happening. We know Christians are and will continue to be persecuted — from the beginning until the end. The internet and social media can sometimes be tools in that, but they are not the foundation of our faith. God’s Word remains unshaken, whatever happens online. #biblegateway #biblegatewayuk #BibleGateway #WordOfGod #FaithNotFear #ChristiansOnline #ChurchFamily

@dakppc It’s likely they’re updating things to comply with new online safety and privacy rules (like GDPR before). So rather than panic, let’s be patient, pray for the tech teams, and remember we still have the physical Word of God in our hands even when websites go offline.
