@XEdJones That helps a great deal. I have an oversized position in that stock currently and as you say, opportunity cost does come into it.
Good to talk with another UK investor by the way. Cheers.
Investing mindset shift I have made over the past few years:๐ค
I used to chase โthe bestโ investments.
Now I chase habits that let me invest for decades.
The older I get, the more I realize: behavior compounds faster than returns.
Happy Halloween!๐
Whats one lesson you wish you'd learnt earlier about investing?
Mine is not getting too carried away with any one company.
A prime example: $ZM in 2021. Ouch.
An invaluable investing mindset I learnt in 2022 ๐:
'Your biggest investing edge isnโt IQ โ itโs resisting the urge to act when everyone else is panicking.'
When comparing investments, donโt just look at returns.
Ask: โCould I actually hold this for 10 years?โ
A 9% return you can stick with beats a 12% return that makes you lose sleep.
