Afghan taxi drivers are playing music in their cars despite it being banned by the Taliban.
The drivers are risking punishment by the morality police. Music has been restricted to religious or patriotic songs approved by Taliban authorities since they returned to power in 2021.

The United States will not tolerate the Taliban taking American citizens hostage. Period.
We will not be intimidated or coerced by a Taliban that cruelly uses Americans as bargaining chips in its pursuit of international legitimacy.
More than 2.6 million girls in Afghanistan have been denied a secondary education in the five years since the de facto authorities took power.
UNICEF calls on the de facto authorities to lift the restrictions on education and allow all girls and women to return to schools and universities immediately.
Before we left a secret school in Afghanistan, 21 girls who risk being arrested by the Taliban for continuing their education handed @ImtiazTyab handwritten letters addressed to the rest of the world. These girls may not be able to speak freely to the world themselves. But they trusted us to carry their words beyond that basement — and we promised them we would.

Funding cuts have forced nearly 600 clinics across Afghanistan to close, leaving millions without basic healthcare. Remote communities have been hit hardest, struggling to access essential medical care.
Al Jazeera’s Minelle Fernandez reports.
Afghanistan: "I remain shocked by what Afghans share with me about physical & psychological abuse by Taliban officials," @SR_Afghanistan Richard Bennett told the @UN Human Rights Council.
"I am also inspired by Afghans, especially girls," who demand their rights, he said. #HRC63
In Afghanistan, girls are risking arrest and torture to attend a secret school hidden from the Taliban. Forced out of secondary school when the Taliban returned to power in 2021, these girls feared they would eventually forget how to read and write. Now, they’re risking everything to keep learning — while praying that one day they can return to a real classroom. The students’ identities, faces and the school’s location have been concealed for their safety.

84%.
That is how many Americans say the United States should commit to protecting the Afghans who stood with our forces, and their families.
Not a plurality. Not a partisan slice. 84 percent.
Hospitals in Afghanistan are overwhelmed as child malnutrition surges across the country.
“We should not wait until a child is dangerously thin and lying in a hospital bed before we intervene. For that, UNICEF and our partners urgently need significantly more flexible and sustained funding.” - @UNICEFAfg's Dr. Tajudeen Oyewale

That is a human being whipped like a dead horse. This is Taliban Islam. The US helped to power this monster and is still paying weekly to continue its crimes.
