In all do respect, there's a vast difference between "elder" and "elderly." Elderly is something that inevitably happens if one lives long enough. Elder is a title bestowed on those who have earned it by those they've served. It's not inherently granted to one because of their age. Certainly not all elderly people are wise or can provide true mentorship. And not all elders are actually elderly.
Eric Weinstein: “A tsunami of a lifetime is coming and nothing your elders have seen is gonna prepare you.”
The care of the weakest is a very important sign of the quality of the social life of a nation. Let us remember that the elderly are in need of assistance, but first and foremost need to be listened to, because they preserve the wisdom of a people. We owe them gratitude, because they have faced great difficulties for the good of the community. #ApostolicJourney #Angola
