We’re working hard to move services as @fosshostorg winds down. Unfortunately, we may have some minor disruption over the next few days. We apologise for any issues encountered. We’ll be standing up our DR in Boston until we move to new @OVHcloud_UK servers. We’ll keep you aware.
For anyone still using Fosshost for anything GTFO
Today our primary internal C&C node went offline (due to non-payment). It no longer possible for staff to trouble shoot or resolve issues with VMs, hypervisor access for staff and tenants is gone, etc.
Thomas here. Draft agreement sent to first hosting partner project. Work is underway to review existing supplier arrangements and to decide on the future of our hardware inventory. More updates soon.
Jonathon Fernyhough, one of our former directors and long-time Arch Linux contributor, passed away on Saturday night. We send our deepest condolences to his family and friends.
You will be missed, Jonathon.
Maint Alert: Jan 26 @ 2100 GMT pve01-lon4 node will have datacenter maintenance lasting around 1h. We are not shutting down this node nor is it expected to go down for more than a short maintenance period. Sorry for any inconvenience!
I was able to confirm this morning that the accounts for BOS co-lo have been brought current.
I now expect BOS to be up at very least though the end of the year

I'm expecting the BOS datacenter to go offline in the very near future. If you still have data or mission critical processing on AARCH in BOS please take action immediately.

Big news:
Thomas and I have been corresponding today.
We have agreed to the broad strokes of a plan to "make things right" for our tenants & community, He is writing an open letter sharing his views of our fails and explaining our plans for Fosshost, moving forward.

@herohamp_ @Ax_Sharma Can confirm. Hammy was one of two key architects of our AARCH64 platform up until his resignation earlier this year. We unreservedly recommending Hammy.

@mplscorwin Also... the BOS AARCH PoP currently hosts the FH website. We'll make every effort to get that moved but if our website does go offline, that's why.
We are having significant disruptions and degradations of service with no ETR. If you are a current tenant we encourage you to make offsite backup a priority and to seek alternative hosting.
Hey, @FDCServersNET, our volunteering team has made several contacts due to an issue with a machine, but they haven't heard back yet. How can we expedite this? Our tenants are being impacted by this issue.
