- : This is a hyphen.
– : This is an en-dash.
— : This is an em-dash.
The hyphen is used to connect words, like you say. Ex: Twenty-two, ex-boyfriend.
The en-dash is used in the context of a span of time. Ex: 1996–2018, February–March.
The em-dash is used when inserting a thought. Ex: He wouldn't—couldn't—go home.
My lock-in game needs to be studied. The only problem is I have to procrastinate first. Turns out the biggest thing standing between me and anything I want, is… me.
While swimming at Malvarossa beach in Valencia 🇪🇸, yesterday.
This Carribean shawty swam close, passed a compliment & said:
"You'll enjoy a full experience if you swam a little further".
My grandfather's 3rd wife used to come as cats & bats - didn't know she has upgraded.
i learned ants really have no concept of us as humans because of their limited eyesight and how big we are to them. they see us as moving shadows, or wind, or like obstacles and landscape (i imagine mountains). makes me wonder what’s in front of me right now that’s too large for me to comprehend.
Keep your problems smaller than your life. A flat tire is a flat tire. A bad meeting is a bad meeting. A canceled flight is just an extra two hours. These things become catastrophes when you let them. But they stay manageable when you remember the depth of your real life- the people you love, the work you care about, the beautiful years still ahead. Zoom out. Fit your reaction to the size of the problem.

Je sais qu’on mange pas ça einh mais si les gens savaient le niveau de mes réflexion de ma compréhension et la non limite de ma rancune, y’a bcp de choses que vous éviteriez
Privilege is such an interesting thing I often find myself thinking about. We do not ask for the life we have, and that is why I'm very mindful of it. You often find it a lot in my writing.
Last week, my cleaner told me on Monday(2 days ago) was her birthday. I asked her what age we are celebrating and she said 33. Epiphany hit me that my agemate is my cleaner. I wore a wry smile as I nodded my head and told her to remind me on Monday so she could get her gift.
I then went to my room to deal with the epiphany of privilege. In another universe, that could easily have been me.
