"And guess what? TSMC engineers and their families are having a great time. In interviews, they marveled at their new lives in the Sunbelt: the large homes, the friendly community, the opportunities for their kids."
@iowahawkblog I wonder what would inspire the people of Tours to think that the citizens should form a line against the further advance of this sort of thing.
“I am impressed that he stayed committed for as long as he did,” Kelly Ryerson (@GlyphosateGirl) told me minutes after Calley Means’s resignation was made public.
Means's resignation is another blow to the already frustrated MAHA movement — just days before the midterms. Read more @NRO https://t.co/CWOOfIkNRJ
There is plenty of circumstantial evidence that Omar's father participated in the Isaaq Genocide, which killed 200,000 civilians in Somaliland. Maybe that's why she's so concerned about what she imagines to be happening in Palestine.
The New York Post has obtained and published an official copy of Ilhan Omar's sister's marriage certificate.
It describes their father as "Nur Said Elmi," and his profession as a "military officer.
More evidence that she is not who she says she is.
YIKES: Troy Jackson supporter confirms he has a temper problem.
“Has Troy lost his temper now and then? Sure.”
“He doesn't lose his temper in a gendered way. He doesn’t lose his temper with women any more than he loses his temper with men.”
HBO's @LastWeekTonight has a long track record of citing social science findings without the appropriate context, massaging them to support whatever point @iamjohnoliver is trying to make.
@Tylerkaerr I think it would have consequences for investment in Russia to be sure. The point of having 10,000 starlink satellites is redundancy and robustness, but sure I could see losing one driving investors to invest in even more redundancy and robustness.
How could Russia destroy 10,000+ satellites? Or even enough of them to seriously degrade capability? I doubt the United States could destroy Starlink. Even if Russia could, it would be a provocation orders of magnitude larger than what they've done before.
The plausible version is threats of sabotage against ground based Musk assets.
So the story I heard is:
Russia lowkey has threatened to destroy the Starlink satellite network and Elon is freaked out, because the threat is plausible.
That would possibly justify scaling back its use.
But if such a threat exists... surely you go public with it right????
@Tylerkaerr burning a crap ton of fuel to threaten a single satellite with another expensive satellite is not the same as disabling thousands of starlink satellites. They probably don't have enough ASAT missiles to do the job. And even if they did, it would take out LEO.
Some parents are ditching plates and silverware for a “dump dinner,” pouring the meal straight onto a foil-covered table and letting the kids dig in. For these families, it’s less about manners and more about making memories.
