In Man's Search for Meaning, author and holocaust survivor Viktor Frankl showed that even during the worst of times we can feel hope. However, in order to have hope, we must find meaning or purpose in the challenges we face. We must take something bad and turn it into good.
I just got an email from GSE saying I should not display any GSE stock data on my platform even with a WARNING leading to legal issues. I thought I was just sharing and helping investors analyze the Ghana stock market.
I can't display GSE data unless I pay GHS 40,000.00 per year or Global Fee: US$ 14,000.00 per year.
I've been preaching the Ghana Stock Exchange for many years. I built this with a good intention to help the Ghanaian retail investors research analyze Ghana stocks. I've spent thousands of USD in AI credits data analysis building this without generating anything. Subscriptions are used for AI research credits.
I respect their decision unfortunately, I need to hold on with GSE market (which is publicly available) till I make enough money to pay GHS 40K.
Please bear with me while I go through this process. I will do my best to find a solution to this. I'm just a normal finance & tech guy.

@_nanadev Business models are just dopamine hits strategies. Every app or game is optimized for some if not all.
Hence the real customer is either spending more (make it easier for them) or playing more (make it harder for them to stick to it)
The IC is embedded in the game.
@pazunre@joe_darko@papasamo_gh@KhayaAI I totally agree. What some people miss is the fact that if we don’t care, big tech will choose what they want and its numbers game.
My only concern is your opinion about “we should be in control, not consumers”. To me, Consumers should decide based on how they use translation.
The goal shouldn’t just be to make AI speak Twi. It’s also about building local talent, language technology, and expertise that we can build on.
Why should Chinese developers build their own models when ChatGPT already exists?
I see these posts all the time and I get confused.
Ghanaians do not know that ChatGPT and Gemini already speak Twi incredibly well?
I must be very dumb, but someone please explain the need for our own Twi model?
Like Khaya AI. What is the need for a dedicated Twi model, when the frontier models already inherently understand these languages?
@pazunre@joe_darko@papasamo_gh@KhayaAI Couldn’t agree more with this statement. The lesser known languages are left behind in development.
To me, the focus shouldn’t be to beat Google or OpenAI, it should rather focus on building the best models to communicate among local languages.
Building something people actually want is no walk in the park.😎
Users will drag you around like a horse pulling a carriage. Every day, there’s a new request, a new problem, or something they want you to change.
But that’s the job: listen, learn, prioritize, and keep building.
@joe_darko@papasamo_gh I don’t fully disagree with him, I’m looking at the issue from the angle of getting locals in the process of building these llms.
Google, OpenAi or Anthropic are too big to be beaten by @pazunre and his team at @KhayaAI.
Guys at GhanaNLP are learning a lot.
Gemini 4 Argon is here.
It’s available globally today for developers and enterprises in the paid tier of the Gemini API and the Gemini platform, for Ultra subscribers in Google Antigravity, and Ultra and Pro subscribers in the Gemini app and Search.
Hope you all enjoy it!
When you hire great engineers, they can make an “ok” product super good. What they don’t have is exceptional engineers who could invent and make it great.
As a result we should appreciate the other companies they copied from even more.
Meta just launched Muse Wonder.
Here's everything Meta has "invented":
- Facebook > Winklevoss twins (allegedly)
- Instagram > Acquired
- WhatsApp > Acquired
- Oculus > Acquired
- Stories > Snapchat
- Reels > TikTok
- Threads > Twitter
- Live Audio Rooms > Clubhouse
- Meta Verified > Twitter Blue
- Edits > CapCut
- Muse > OpenClaw (they admitted)
- Muse Wonder > ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini (yrs later)
But here's the funny thing:
The one time Meta tried to invent the future, we got the metaverse.
And we all know how that went.
Yet when they take inspiration from others, they somehow turn those ideas into billion-dollar successes.
As Picasso supposedly said:
"Good artists copy. Great artists steal."
Maybe that's Meta's real superpower.
Building this recent project has taught me firsthand how much distribution and scaling have evolved.
The tools change, user expectations shift, and the strategies that worked yesterday may not work now.
Building is one thing. Learning to adapt as the landscape changes is another.
@Josephnartey_ Lack of confidence, it’s a trait rooted in our culture and stems from poverty. In his subconscious mind he is like “what if the minister kicks me out or the building?” Or “the big man punishes me”. I will lose this opportunity.
