@MartinSLewis @Jeremy_Hunt I am confused. Inflation isn’t being driven by spending. I thought it was the ruse in the costs & prices of commodities and utilities. Price rises driven by war, BREXIT, scarcity of parts and workers. Interest rises will not work in this economic climate, just cause hardship.

@richardpbacon Schofield hadn’t done anything illegal. He’d lied because he believed he was in a homophobic work environment where the age gap between him and his lover wouldn’t be regarded as would an old man with a much younger girlfriend. She is making career capital out of it - bad!

@titter42069 @MattWallace888 As part of his training to become a doctor, my brother was sent to work in Ramptons - a high security prison here in the UK. The guy in charge told my brother that the prisoners in there should have been executed as they will ALWAYS reoffend if released back into society.

@MattWallace888 Judicial penalties need to be harsher all round. Executions for murder and repeat sexual offenders. More room in prisons to give longer sentences to people like this. The issue is that criminals are just not frightened enough of the punishments handed out today.

@JeremyVineOn5 If I were running from a place where my family and myself were terrified of arrest, rape, detention, torture, execution, I would be happy to share a room. What’s not fair is that after a lifetime of paying taxes, at 64, I’m having to pay for a dentist when I can least afford it!
