Using a strongly tilted lens to place the plane of focus where you want it. An old medium format lens with a @fotodioxpro tilt/shift adapter https://t.co/u9lp6s95ra
@Young_Mellz Hello!
Unfortunately an E-mount to E-Mount or Pronto adapter would not be possible. The lens would be too far from the sensor to focus to infinity, and you wouldn't be able to use it for most conventional applications.
@Newtons_Laws Best we can do is put a word in for you to our R&D team, but at this point, it's hard to say if they'd move forward with it, as it is a rather niche combination.
@Newtons_Laws However, using the C/Y lenses specifically on a QBM camera does raise some mechanical limitations such as the proximity of flange focal distance and the similar mount diameters. An adapter for this combo would need internal glass
@Newtons_Laws If you're intent on using the C/Y lenses specifically on a film camera, we do have adapters for both the Canon EF and Leica M system that don't involve any internal glass. These give the best resolution, as there's nothing to interfere with the lenses' optics.
@Newtons_Laws Since the Contax 139 Quartz should have a C/Y mount, it wouldn't need an adapter for the C/Y lenses, but I'm not familiar enough with the camera to say whether or not it'd be a good camera for you.
@Newtons_Laws (2/2) Especially considering that the shortest adapter we have available (going from one bayonet to another) is 1.7mm.
That, on top of some other physical limitations, make this a somewhat difficult adapter to develop.
@Newtons_Laws Hello!
We have a lot of adapters that accept QBM lenses, but none go to the QBM bodies.
In the case of the C/Y lenses, there's only a 1mm difference between the two systems, so it's not a whole lot of room to work with, unfortunately.
@vaskoobscura_@Newtons_Laws Sounds like it might use the Rollei QBM, which we have a few adapters for, but it does depend on which system you're adapting to!
@_justinespejo Hello!
The Pronto adapters are best used for stills (single-shot or continuous), and the autofocus functionality is not recommended for video.
Thank you!
Spent a day in a snow covered Yosemite Valley. These were shot on a Fuji X-T3 using a 28mm Minolta lens with a fotodiox tilt-shift adapter. I shifted vertically to stitch 3 images. @_fujilove_ @fotodioxpro#minoltagang
@Sebuh_com Hello!
Is the aperture on the lens not adjusting when you turn the lens' aperture ring?
The PK adapter doesn't have its own aperture ring, so there shouldn't be anything on the adapter stopping the lens from operating as normal.
