@woodstockjag I want to read 'I bought myself a terraced house in Bolton whilst earning minimum wage and paying all my own rent and bills'. But that will never happen because that's basically impossible. Why don't the people in these articles see their privilege?
@woodstockjag Every time. Every time they've moved back home, stopped paying rent and used family money. The stories always portray this like it's an amazing feat of financial wizardry or something everyone can do. "Yeah it was really hard but after being given about £80k it was acheiveable".
I work in Manchester. My office job pays me £22,000 a year and can be done from home. The government want me to now spend £250 a month on trains and give up 40 hours a month in travel to buy a £6 sandwich from Pret everyday with whatever’s left of my disposal income. Hmm.
@jessmacadam Plus everyone actually pays for the nhs anyway it is not and never has been a free service, you just don’t get a choice whether you pay for it or not so to even ask for donations is the gov takin the ppiiiiissssssssss
@jessmacadam It’s a gov agency. They have the same amount of money as the gov does. Literally no excuse or reason for no or not enough ppe ever!!!! The only reason is that the gov don’t care an that they spent jan-end of March doing the covid bill rather than getting ventilators and ppe
I finally understand how people like Boris and trump come to power. If people don’t even understand the basics of how and why there is time frames for creating and testing vaccines. They don’t just get created over night. The info is out there google isn’t that hard to use
@steve_sjm7@AndrewR43441645@MickleDJ @emilyrclays How has that got to do with the fact that they test migrating animals and birds for viruses and new strains globally so was aware that they virus was coming, that’s why USA is already testing a vaccine on humans as they have had a year to create one
When your shopping try and help the elderly or disabled when possible as everyone needs to help each other in this food shortage at least until supermarkets start getting food deliveries again
@AndrewR43441645@MickleDJ @emilyrclays The government would of been warned months in advance so they could of put many things in place so it is completely the prime ministers fault if you can’t see that then your blind
@emilyrclays It’s nothing to do with stock pilers it’s because there hasn’t been any food deliveries for nearly 2 weeks now and no supermarket knows when they will be getting any.
