Such a brilliant afternoon celebrating the absolutely outstanding art work our Byker Futures youth group have created! This project has been so good for the young people, being able to express themselves and how they feel about their area has given them a huge sense of pride!

A huge thanks to @KarbonHomes for supporting/funding the project and for pulling together the brilliant celebration today it was so lovely for the young people to be treated like celebrities, being papped and interviewed about their work, they loved every minute!

This project has been led by @MarkOne87 as part of Elements Street Art Festival. Mark has worked with the group teaching them new skills and techniques and has been amazing with the group really helping bring their ideas to life.

This is world mental health day we will be running workshops with all of our groups, reminding them that it is ok to not be ok and encouraging everyone to speak up when things are feeling tough not just today but everyday. Always remember you are not alone 💚

Last week we took our Byker Futures youth group on a residential trip, this year to the Lake District! We had such an amazing time and are so proud of all of the young people who attended, pushing themselves outside of their comfort zones and creating memories to last a lifetime!
