@5SolasMissy Actually it was Paul who said that. You are using Paul's words as an authority. He said many things throughout his time as an apostle, and not everything was captured in a letter that made it into the bible.

Some of those words are the tradition he speaks about in the following verse:

"Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold to the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word or our epistle." 2 Thessalonians 2:15

If you can understand this, then you are closer to understanding where you misunderstand scripture, and how that leads you away from the very real Church Christ established here on earth.
