I had just gotten out of the D&D event and they wouldn’t let us back in the building it was in so we had to huddle under a nearby eave to stay out of the worst of it.

@SaffronOlive My hype level was negative, but I’m seeing some signs that the designers understand the universe enough to possibly make this a sleeper hit. I’d say I’m 5/10, remains to be seen if it’s good.

At least it’s not turtles or marvel.

It may be due to licensing restrictions. We’ll have to see if we get any movie only characters/events, but the TV shows up to Enterprise, the movies up to Nemesis, the JJ Abram’s movies (kelvin timeline), and the new series (prime timeline) are all separate liscenses, some with different owners. WotC may not have the movie license.

@hallaloth @TCGplayer I don’t know, I can maybe see the Romulans or the cardassians in blue, but blue already feels like it’s going to be pulling a lot of weight in this setting so I can’t really see it.

I have repeatedly stated to everyone I know that the Borg are going to be the biggest tell if the set is good or not. If they’re mono-black, the set is awful and the designers failed the assignment. If they’re Orzov or Esper colors this has a chance to be a pretty good set, setting mismatch aside.

I think it’s a kind of “historical accuracy uncanny valley” Nolan’s Odessy is billed as being accurate to the place and time of the original story so audiences’s brains start to hone in on what seems out of place. In other words Nolan is billing the movie as having very little artistic license when there’s actually quite a bit.

Modern Shakespeare set adaptations like Coriolanus or the previously mentioned Richard III are on the face of them not set in the original place and time, priming the audience to not expect much from historical accuracy.

A Knight’s Tale also does a really good job of priming the audience to expect inaccuracy by having the opening scene be medieval peasants singing along to Queen’s “we will rock you” like a modern stadium in the very first scene. So there’s some elements of how it’s delivered as well.

No the arms are a little small, so they kind of end up looking like T-rexes. The main thing is that it’s a primaris holding a big gun with an ammo feed belt to a heavy backpack.
And when I say I shave the goody rocket launcher down I mean DOWN! Only thing I leave left is the grip, the stock and the place where the ammo feed connects(sometimes).

@wiggleWiggle25 @HarveyTheNerdy It’s when you get the last hit on the level/stage. It goes slow mo and focuses in on whatever your current character is doing at a cinematic angle. Often it’s some “cool” looking animation like a battle pose, but sometimes it’s something silly or glitchy which many find amusing.

See there’s the problem, psykers are part of the tithe, and part of the basic contract every planet has with the imperium:
1) pay your taxes (resources, guardsmen (sometimes), unsanctioned psykers)
2) no mutants, no xenos, no chaos < Cyrene also broke this rule
3) have someone accountable (planetary governor) to get executed when rule 1 or 2 gets broken.
