The State Government may consider appointing former Union Finance Minister P. Chidambaram as Finance Advisor to the Government.

From being part of the core team that worked on the 1991 liberalisation reforms, to presenting the landmark "Dream Budget" in 1997, to serving as one of India’s most effective Finance Ministers, he could bring immense value to Tamil Nadu.

The state has never fully utilised his exceptional talent. Most importantly, he understands both politics and finance - a rare and powerful combination.
