@AvonandsomerRob@Timoldland It's a paradigm shift
Charging to 80% is a fine strategy for me. The car will do that in under 20 minutes giving a range of 200-240 miles. Also I will be pre filled overnight at home costing about 6p per unit - 450+ miles, 1 stop
My car is 5 years old- tech is established
@Yorkslrehlker@SamCKx@grok@TheGriftReport Isn't whether or not she's wearing Gucci what we're talking about ?
Personally I can't care what she wears and she's not my MP anyway, but it's always interesting to follow trails and see if things put out there happen to be misinformation or not and who believes it
@SadButMadLad@Drew_W5@sharrond62@KerryThomas20 It would be great if there was a kind of social media for MPs where everyone can see what's going on, but only actual constituents can engage. It could be a little bit difficult to organise
@tonymc39@AiringViews@BellaWallerstei I've already mentioned that but that doesnt necessarily render it worthless, just a bit of a hand waving argument
It is right about the fact that we pay 10% of our gdp in benefits (over 5% are pensions) and other countries pay more (with maybe over 10% pensions alone)
@tonymc39@AiringViews@BellaWallerstei Anything without methodology is just a meme, but it might tell the truth. Are there any particular features of it that worry you?
@tonymc39@AiringViews@BellaWallerstei I mean that all simple charts trying to compare "benefits" are wrong. What one counts as a benefit in each country will be different in each case
@AiringViews@tonymc39@BellaWallerstei To be fair it's hard to compare directly across countries. I'm with you overall that there's nothing wrong with the amount we're spending generally, but proving that probably needs something more nuanced than a chart and most people don't have the attention span to engage with it
