Tap once to harvest tomatoes. Tap twice to feed the world.
Our robot, the GR-100, can harvest tens of thousands of tomatoes per day… all by pushing a single button.
It has never been easier to integrate automation within a greenhouse.
Witness the power & precision:
The GR-100 is able to harvest tomatoes five times faster than other industry competitors, without damaging surrounding plants or foliage. We take a look at the underlying engineering that enables this competitive advantage

Embracing collaborative innovation helps us find new ways to unite technology and nature while redefining the future of food. As we strive for greater efficiencies, sustainable practices, and enhanced yields, @Syngenta Vegetable Seeds joined forces with Pittsburgh-based @FourGrowers, Inc. to embark on an exploratory tomato research journey.
Together we’re unleashing the power of robotics and genetics with robotic harvesters in our tomato greenhouses, where we not only save valuable time and resources but also tackle the challenges of rising production costs (up to 30%!) and labor shortages. Our mission is clear: to ensure that consumers worldwide have uninterrupted access to high-quality, nutritious and tasty tomatoes.
These robotic harvesters also provide significant data collection capabilities, fusing robotics, artificial intelligence, and tomato research, presenting a future in vegetable seed breeding where innovation knows no bounds. Not only does this abundance of data accelerate the development of superior tomato varieties, we can work alongside Four Growers to create tomato plants optimized for robotic harvest, which could mean a slightly different plant architecture, fruit set, etc. By doing this, we’ll have plants optimized for the future of harvesting, so when growers decide to make the move toward automation, they’re enabled to do so.
