4QRN is an international collaboration btw STS, economics and political scholars looking at 'responsible stagnation', i.e. an a-growth approach to innovation
Dear Labour: Please spare us yet another ridiculous set of promises to 'return to growth'. We have not had proper (wage) growth in years, what would we 'return' to? Just a different set of pockets stuffed? Maybe just promise return to sane, stable gov't, that'll be hard enough.
The critique of economic growth is as old as growth itself. And it’s not just about the more recent critique of GDP or about growth as a policy goal, but goes much deeper. How was growth criticized and by whom?

Really interesting opening keynote from Kornelia Konrad on RRI and the dynamics of expectations in sci/tech. Mine this pm sort of follows on through a discussion of the sociology of novelty, with examples from psychiatry, bioscience, and public health.
The @Assist_UK conference just started, and uses @GatherTownHub for all the talks, not just the social events! It's working great so far - really interesting first keynote on institutionalisation of #RRI teaching & practice (including in universities) by Kornelia Konrad
