I can't argue that historically, we're terrible at selling.
But we're talking about Onana here. All bets are off. It would be easier to sell ice to the Eskimos.
Right then, who's got a home EV charger?
I need to get one organised asap and curious to hear how you went about getting yours sorted?
Naturally looking at the most affordable way of doing it (outside of slinging a Scouser £20 for him to connect it to a streetlight)
Cheers.
Guys, I was being a gentleman... but some Arsenal fans are getting too comfortable
You finally won the war after 22 years of banter 😂🏆
Now let's start another 50 years of banter about the Big Ears Cup
#ilovethisgame#arsenal#banter
Can’t help but have massive respect at this point for Arteta just completely ignoring a technical area being a thing. Imagine living nextdoor to him? Look outside & he’s just cooking away on your BBQ, shouting at your dog to fuck off. No one does anything cause they’re so stunned
Remember, Ofgem was not created to ensure affordable energy. It was explicitly created to guarantee energy suppliers' profits. It does so by pricing energy at the cost of the most expensive source. That's why we paid £51.90 per mw for electricity that cost £4.90 to buy.
🚨🗣️🎙️: Sir Alex Ferguson when asked about Rashford and Cunha
“Between Cunha and Rashford, who would you rather have in your team right now?”
He paused for a second and replied:
“Marcus Rashford has something very few players in world football possess — fear factor. When he is confident, direct and aggressive, defenders panic. He can decide matches on his own. You cannot teach that kind of explosiveness.”
“But football at the top level is not only about moments. It is about habits, discipline, consistency, intelligence without the ball, pressing, decision-making and sacrifice for the team.”
“That is where Cunha impresses me more right now. He plays with intensity every week. He links play, works for the team, presses properly, carries responsibility and affects the game even when he does not score.”
“With Rashford, sometimes you watch him and feel he is the best player on the pitch. Other times, you barely notice him. Managers struggle with players like that because talent alone cannot sustain elite football.”
“Cunha may not have Rashford’s peak, but if I’m building a side to compete every single week, I trust Cunha more at this moment in time.”
“And in football, trust matters more than hype.”
🚨NEW: Green party MP Carla Denyer has announced that she is going to "take several weeks off" as she claims to be too tired and suffering from "burnout"
This comes at the same time as summer
What Marcus Rashford said is honestly very low, especially towards a club like Manchester United that has done everything for him.
This is a club that protected him, supported him through difficult moments, developed him from the academy, and made him one of the faces of the club.
That’s why statements like this feel disrespectful. ‘…thanks to Unai Emery, Aston Villa, Hansi Flick, FC Barcelona for believing in me…’ — and not even a mention of Manchester United. Lol.
Hansi Flick, who barely played you for most of the time? The only reason you even got opportunities was because players like Raphinha and Lamine Yamal were unavailable. So much for ‘believing in me.’”
Barcelona believing in you and they don’t even want to pay the €30m not £! Euro!!! For you!
And honestly, it proves a lot of people wrong and serves them right at the same time — especially those who kept defending Marcus Rashford throughout the whole Amorim-Rashford saga. The fact that I criticised Amorim for certain things does not change the fact that he was right about some of the off-pitch issues. Yet people still wanted Rashford back at the club no matter what.
Fans can support a player, but at some point, you also have to be honest about what you’re seeing.
During the whole situation, everyone could see Rashford was not giving enough on the pitch. The work rate, the energy, the effort — it simply was not there consistently, especially for a player earning that level of money.
So to now come out with comments like that is unnecessary and just makes things worse.
As for Mark @markgoldbridge, imagine for one second if this was a player he didn’t like. We all know the reaction would be completely different.
Saying things like, “maybe he loves the club but not the people running it” — did Rashford personally tell you that? Or are you just creating excuses for him?
That’s the problem people have with these conversations: the double standards. Having millions of followers does not automatically make every opinion intelligent or objective.
Sometimes a bad take is simply a bad take, and this is one of them.
Here's a brilliant story that Lee Sharpe told about Paul Scholes:
🗣 "Senior pros (Bryan Robson, Steve Bruce, Peter Schmeichel, Brian McClair) always used to watch the third team, and Scholes was playing. Robson turns to the manager and says 'Who are you keeping, who are you letting go?' and he obviously said 'We're keeping Beckham, Butt, Neville, this lad, this lad, this lad's going, and we're not sure about the little red-head in midfield.'
Then Scholesy gets the ball on the edge of the box, fakes to shoot and drags it, defender slides past him, fakes to shoot again and drags it, another midfielder slides past him, shuffles between the two centre-halves, fakes to shoot, keeper goes down onto one knee and Scholesy scoops it and dinks it into the bottom corner.
Robson turns to the manager and says 'Are you sure you know what you're talking about?'"
