Scott Walker and Robin Vos’ Foxconn deal is the biggest con job of taxpayers in Wisconsin’s history. FoxConn is a long con and we are gonna stay on top of them.
It’s obvious by now everyone in Wisconsin was played for fools by former Gov. Scott Walker and soon-to-be-former President Trump, known for wildly exaggerated promises about job creation at Foxconn. https://t.co/z84e3Q1XJl
Foxconn isn’t building its promised million square foot manufacturing plant or employing 13,000 people, but they are building this nice glass ball. That makes up for all the broken promises, right???
https://t.co/p6GSYIL4w4
The White House is trying to talk up Foxconn again saying that it’s been a success despite Foxconn doing virtually nothing they promised to do.
They also claim that any criticism of Foxconn for breaking their promises is just partisan rhetoric.

The legacy giveaway from @ScottWalker, is back in the news for being so much less than it was supposed to be.
It will probably only employ hundreds of people, rather than the promised 13,000. https://t.co/8qv2Jf8zRi
Absent from Pence’s visit — and from Trump’s Monday visit to Oshkosh and many before it — was any mention of the Foxconn Technology Group project, despite the integral role Trump played in making it happen.

Foxconn Technology Group gave no money to UW-Madison over the past year, renewing questions about the company’s commitment to its $100 million pledge to the university nearly two years ago.

“The likelihood of them being eligible for anything — or hitting benchmarks or even knowing anything about what’s happening — don’t seem to be clear. They are ineligible for any credits, even if they met thresholds because they’re out of compliance.”
https://t.co/cguQwzZL6h
“Because Foxconn’s present project has not been applied for, evaluated by WEDC, certified for eligibility, and properly contracted for, it presently is ineligible for tax credits under Wisconsin law.”

Remember when Trump and Scott Walker promised us that Foxconn was going to bring this manufacturing to Wisconsin and Walker promised them $4.5 billion in taxpayer dollars?
All one big con job...

Think Foxconn is going to come through on their promised investment in Wisconsin? Think again. They are investing in India and Taiwan.
Not a single mention of Wisconsin...https://t.co/7vAVigVicf
Mount Pleasant is screwed because of the insane amount of debt they took on for Foxconn:
“I don’t think there’s any question that having $200 million worth of debt in a time this uncertain is a precarious place to be.”

Think Foxconn is going to be investing more in Wisconsin? Think again, they have already cut bait and shifted their focus to India.

Yet more excuses from Foxconn about why they can’t (or won’t) live up to any of their contractual agreements with Wisconsin.
But of course Foxconn expects the state to live up to everything Scott Walker promised, no matter how harmful to taxpayers.

Another day, another excuse from Foxconn about why they can’t comply with the terms in their contract with the State of Wisconsin.

[Our] investment project in Wisconsin, US, is going smoothly and according to plan,” Foxconn chairman Young Liu said.
This was the plan???

Foxconn’s much ballyhooed operation in Wisconsin remains mired in controversy, with its promised “innovation centers” amounting to nothing more than empty buildings and continuing questions about its main campus, where there is little sign of activity.

How screwed is Wisconsin after Scott Walker tied our atte’s future to a foreign company in Foxconn?
Very screwed.
Foxconn just posted a 90% year over year loss. Anyone still expecting Foxconn to invest $10 billion in Wisconsin?
Didn’t think so...

Foxconn is here — at least, kind of. There’s ongoing construction in Mount Pleasant, mass demolition of homes, and the company has at least some employees at its downtown Milwaukee headquarters.
But outside of that? Not so much.
