when everyone is posting all their “blessed for all the memories this year” posts of friends, travel, etc- and all you did this year was survive, i’m with you. Please remember that your journey is valid. And all of your accomplishments, every single one, matter.
As a heads up friend, I’ve pretty much entirely switched on over to the 💙 app, I switched the apps place on my phone to where Twitter usually sits and muscle memory took it over! Hope to see you guys there!
The ONE complaint I have about the Shepherd King series is the overuse of certain phrases. The amount of “Their lips turned into a thin line” and “the corners of their mouth twitched” that happen is INSANE. It’s equal to ACOTAR’s “vulgar gesture” lol
Constant frustration with doctors honestly. I’ve been telling them for years that something is wrong with the way my body holds on to iron, I’ve had multiple iron infusions over the years and am still deficient and they can never give me an answer as to why.
Finally reading One Dark Window after hearing about it and wanting to for months but always putting it off. Safe to say I regret that, it’s so good so far!
@DiaryofaSickGrl “Well have you told the doctor about that?” I promise you I have. I promise you I’ve been to a million doctors, they can’t or WON’T help me 99% of the time. Please stop suggesting doctors like they’re miracle workers.
There’s ways to get library cards from areas you don’t live and use apps like Libby, there’s so many forms of free media, how can you decide it’s okay to rob from a community you supposedly love and respect?
I honestly don’t get you guys saying it’s okay to pirate books. I understand not everyone can afford books/have access to a library. But stealing from an author, especially indie authors who rely on every sale to make ends meet? Seems really screwed up to me.
“I love this author book so let me just steal their hard work!” What?? A lot of these authors even say you can email them and if they’re able they’ll give you a copy. How can you love reading/appreciate authors and steal from them??
Being honest with others about the fact that your chronic illness is forever and that you won’t get better isn’t you accepting defeat. It’s you telling the truth, and if they can’t accept it, that’s on them. Many of us will even get worse. Get used to it.
A lot of mental illness you can combat with logic and facts. I’ve been diagnosed agoraphobic for my entire adult life and logic can’t fix it, because the facts say that I’m right. The world is too scary. The people are too evil. This is reality.
I haven’t had contact with most of my family in a very long time. And I know without a doubt a lot of them voted for the devil. And the fact that the people I trusted and loved growing up could do that is so so sad and so so scary.
