The problem with Atheism is that it negates the value of the inner life and inner exploration. Yet we know that we as observers actually change the external phenomenon by looking at them. What we see and hear and feel when we close our eyes and how we negotiate that is vital to our survival and cannot be measured. Atheism leads to materialism plus unconscious religion. It does not remove the need for a god, it just removes the awareness of which one you are worshipping.
