German Shepherd dad who loves sharing wholesome dog moments, family life, & timeless American values. Faith, loyalty, and a wagging tail make every day better!
I always thought German Shepherds were the definition of high energy. Then I discovered Belgian Malinois.
Imagine a German Shepherd with the energy dial turned up to 11, an obsession with tennis balls, and a burning desire to accomplish 47 tasks before breakfast.
These dogs are brilliant, athletic, loyal, and absolutely relentless when they have a job to do.
But that intensity comes with a responsibility many people underestimate. A Belgian Malinois needs serious training, exercise, mental stimulation, and an owner who understands working dogs.
German Shepherds keep you busy.
Belgian Malinois make you wonder whether you should have started training for a marathon before bringing one home.
Tom Skerritt: From Air Force Veteran to Hollywood Legend 🇺🇸
Before he became one of Hollywood's most recognizable faces, Tom Skerritt proudly served four years in the United States Air Force.
Born in Detroit in 1933, his journey to Hollywood began with the 1962 film War Hunt, alongside a young Robert Redford. It was the beginning of an acting career that would span more than six decades.
Audiences would come to know him as Captain Dallas in Alien, Commander Mike “Viper” Metcalf in Top Gun, and Sheriff Jimmy Brock in Picket Fences. It was his remarkable portrayal of Sheriff Brock that earned him the 1993 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, with another nomination following in 1994.
But behind those unforgettable characters was a man whose commitment to service extended far beyond the screen. Skerritt helped establish the Red Badge Project, giving veterans a way to share their experiences and find healing through storytelling.
On October 21, 2026, Tom Skerritt passed away at the age of 93, leaving behind a remarkable legacy of service, talent, compassion, and unforgettable performances.
For generations of moviegoers, he was Viper, Captain Dallas, or Sheriff Brock. For those who knew him personally, he was a husband, father, friend, and a man who believed in helping others.
Some actors leave us with memorable characters. Others leave us with something far greater. Tom Skerritt gave us both.
Rest in peace, Mr. Skerritt. Thank you for your service, your extraordinary career, and the memories that will live on for generations. 🇺🇸🙏
I’m very disappointed in YOU pineapple pizza people 😂 🤌🏼
How is it possible that more of you like pineapple 🍍on your pizza 🍕 than those of us who say hell nah ! 😅
… there’s still a bit of time so I guess we’ll see what happens 🤷🏻♀️ 😂
POV: You finally go to a café after ages and have no idea what's happening anymore 😭😂
Is this the dessert? Is this a biscuit? Is this something to wipe my hands with? Or is it art? ☕🍽️
Just sitting there staring at the plate like "do I eat this or frame it?"
Modern cafés are really testing my survival skills.
insane Your tap water is basically birth control now 💊💧
They tested tap water across America and found Mifepristone - the birth control drug - throughout the water supply.
And it gets crazier. One lab tried to test New York City's water - the abortion capital and literally said they couldn't ethically isolate just ONE contaminant because there were SO MANY pharmaceuticals in the water it was too bad to even trace.
How does it get there? It's simple. Women take hormonal birth control, they urinate, it goes into the sewer system. Most cities recycle that same water. But we have NO filtration system designed to remove synthetic hormones. So it just gets pumped right back into your kitchen faucet.
The CEO of Rainmaker even confirmed it - "a significant amount of birth control" is in the water, and he said this is a huge factor in America's infertility crisis.
We are literally recycling hormones and drinking them every single day.
This is something no one wants to talk about because it's uncomfortable, but it's common sense. If we are constantly re-drinking water full of birth control drugs, how can we be shocked that infertility rates are skyrocketing? This needs to be investigated and filtered NOW. We should not have to drink someone else's medication.
We need more of this. Sorry, but if you look like a man, it is how i will address you.
I'm not playing that game. Neither should anyone. This "tolerance" of mental illness is what has reduced us as a society.
In 1987, Sean Connery sat down for an interview with Barbara Walters, and she brought up something he'd said more than 20 years earlier.
Back in 1965, Connery had told Playboy magazine that he believed there were circumstances where slapping a woman could be justified.
Walters wanted to know whether he'd changed his mind after all those years.
Connery didn't hesitate. He stood by what he'd said, and Walters wasn't about to let him off without challenging him.
Barbara Walters: “You haven't changed your opinion?”
Sean Connery: “I haven't changed my opinion.”
Walters continued pressing him about his justification for slapping a woman, but Connery wasn't backing down.
Barbara Walters: “Wait until people see this interview. You're gonna get mail.”
Sean Connery: “Might get some female.”😂
I think by this point in his life, Sean Connery just didn't give a fck what anybody thought. Barbara Walters could challenge him all she wanted, but he wasn't going to change his answer just to please her.
Agree with him or not, you knew exactly where he stood.
The Department of Justice just charged nine non-citizens in Pennsylvania with illegally voting in federal elections while knowing they were not U.S. citizens.
Prosecutors say the defendants (lawful permanent residents from countries including Kenya, Greece, Russia, the Netherlands, Poland, Cuba, and Israel) voted in the 2022 and/or 2024 general elections. Each faces a charge of voting by an alien, which carries up to a year in prison if convicted. These are separate cases investigated by Homeland Security Investigations.
This is not a paperwork mistake. Voting while knowing you are not a citizen is a direct attack on the principle that only American citizens decide American elections. For years the claim was that this “never happens.” Active federal charges show that it does, and it is wrong every single time!

German Shepherd vs. Belgian Malinois.
Two remarkable working breeds with intelligence, courage, loyalty, and enough energy to make their hoomans question their life choices.
Both deserve respect, but there's something about a German Shepherd that sets them apart.
Bravo might be a little biased. So am I.
Which one would you choose?
Nobody prepares you for how much personality comes with a German Shepherd.
One minute he's standing there looking like the most serious dog on the planet. The next, he's giving you that look like he has something important to say and can't believe you haven't figured it out yet.
Those ears are constantly working, those eyes don't miss much, and somehow every expression tells a different story.
You can almost hear the wheels turning behind that handsome face.
Living with a German Shepherd means you're never quite sure whether you're being watched, questioned, or silently judged.
And I wouldn't have it any other way.
German Shepherds have a funny way of making you feel protected and completely owned at the same time.
Bravo takes his security responsibilities seriously. Strange noise outside? He's investigating. Somebody at the door? He's already there. Amazon delivery? Apparently, that requires a full background check.
But when it's time to relax, my fearless protector suddenly becomes a 70-pound lapdog who can't understand why I need personal space.
And the fur? I'm convinced there's enough German Shepherd hair in my house to assemble a second Bravo.
Wouldn't trade a minute of it.
And no, I'm still not getting a Doodle.
My brother and I are best friends. We don't go even a few hours a day without communicating. Are you lucky enough to have a sibling with this kind of relationship? I hope you do because it’s amazing. This little baby is going to have the best big sister of all time.
Blessings on Red Friday: 🙏❤️
With the American Pacific Fleet shifted on President Franklin Roosevelt’s orders from San Diego to the base at Pearl Harbor, near Honolulu, Hawaii, Kidd watched and prepared for conflict in 1941. He had spent 39 years in the US Navy. At the same time, he could witness the development of his son, Isaac C. Kidd Jr., who, following his father’s footsteps, graduated from Annapolis in 1941.
Rear Admiral Kidd was on the Arizona when waves of Japanese planes descended on Pearl Harbor shortly before 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 7, 1941. One of eight battleships on “Battleship Row” moored next to Ford Island, the old vessel made an inviting target for enemy pilots. Despite the terrors all around him, Kidd did not waver, though, from fulfilling his duties. As Senior Officer Present Afloat, he manned the bridge with the ship’s captain, Franklin Van Valkenburgh. Kidd’s Medal of Honor citation noted “his conspicuous devotion to duty, extraordinary courage, and complete disregard of his own life.”
Japanese aircraft steadily unleashed devastation and death on the Arizona. At 8:06 a.m., a massive armor-piercing bomb penetrated the decks beside the front turrets. Arizona’s forward magazines ignited. A huge explosion rocked the battleship, lifting it out of the water.
According to the Navy’s documentation, Rear Admiral Kidd was killed when a Japanese bomb landed directly on the bridge. Just 57 years old, he was the first Flag Officer of the US Navy to die in World War II and, in fact, the first ever to lose his life fighting a foreign adversary. Captain Van Valkenburgh would also not survive the attack.
At 9:00 a.m., Lieutenant Commander Samuel Fuqua, unable to find Kidd or Van Valkenburgh, ordered Arizona’s crew to evacuate. Some 330–350 sailors and Marines escaped the doomed battleship. For his leadership in this dreadful moment, Fuqua received the Medal of Honor.
Rear Admiral Isaac C. Kidd was among the 1,177 men who perished on the USS Arizona. His remains were never recovered. Remarkably, however, Navy divers discovered Kidd’s Naval Academy class ring fused to the bulkhead in the ship’s conning tower.
The National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific lists Kidd’s name on its Wall of the Missing. As one of the 10 posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for what they did at Pearl Harbor (so, too, was Captain Van Valkenburgh), Kidd’s sacrifice has not at all been forgotten. The Navy has named three destroyers after him—the first christened by his wife Inez in 1943 (which has been the centerpiece of the USS Kidd memorial in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, since 1983), the most recent in 2007—and dedicated to him the Rear Admiral Isaac C. Kidd Computer Center in Bratenahl, in his home state of Ohio.
