Y’all are missing the point.

Of course, his “decision” was influenced by the situation he was in. If someone is constantly being shown—directly or indirectly—that pursuing solo activities alongside group activities is unrealistic or impossible, that’s going to affect how they view their future. Y’all need to widen your perspective and consider the different ways those conversations and circumstances could have unfolded.

The main issue here is the lack of opportunities for individual growth. That’s what some of y’all keep overlooking. For God’s sake, they’re already in their 6th year. They’re at a stage in their careers where it’s completely natural to want to explore different creative avenues, challenge themselves, and grow both as artists and as individuals. That desire for growth is human.

HS simply wanted to share his music with us—his craft, his creativity, and the work he had been building over the past 2 years. From what he expressed publicly, he wanted to do that while remaining a member of the group. He wasn’t the only one either. Several members have openly talked about wanting to show fans different sides of themselves, both as members of the group and as individual artists.

The way some people are treating him as if he committed a crime is honestly insane. Wanting to grow as a musician is not a crime. Wanting the opportunity to share your own work is not a crime.

At the end of the day, regardless of where people stand, the hostility toward HS, the members, and the division within the fandom could’ve been far less severe if the situation had been handled with more clarity, professionalism, and care. Instead, fans were left confused, frustrated, and searching for answers, which only fueled more conflict.

Y’all can have different opinions on what happened, but you seriously cannot tell me BELIFT handled this professionally. The lack of proper communication created unnecessary confusion, speculation, and division within the fandom. Rather than providing closure, they left fans with even more questions.

That’s exactly why so many people are frustrated. This situation could’ve been handled so much better from the very beginning.
