@gengelstein Humans default to the hard dirt path, further wearing down the grass there and preventing it from re-growing, packing it harder, contributing to topsoil stripping by runoff, in a cyclical loop that ends with a path. Not sure where the concrete part comes in though!
@gengelstein Beyond 'nerd paths' we learned in Enviro Science this is a phenomena known as 'tracking' (tried to google to verify, but 'tracking' shows mostly USPS), to do with human inclinations to follow a predesignated path through grass/woodland, regardless of the concrete path provided.
A test with 9 of the 54 canvas cards in the abstract painting game I'm illustrating... it's quite fun creating compositions. Although this simple game only calls for 3 colors in quadrants I'm adding interest to each card, which I feel will lead to more interesting "paintings"π¨
@tinstargames The interesting part being that their natural stats had to be loaded onto a USB stick itself, and if that was lost, they could never go back to being just themselves.
@tinstargames I played around with this as a Dollhouse RPG. Using World of Darkness, characters would gain access to "USB sticks" (really laminated stat blocks) and could entirely replace certain stats by "loading" the data (blutakking the sheet over their natural stats).
(If you are Indigenous, I invite you to please share your stories, and tell me if I've made a huge misstep here!) Also, this is not approved by either charity, I just like them for what they do.
To be clear where Fox Tale Games stands as a company: we believe Black lives matter. We're proud to support diversity in our games, freelance hires, review choices and illustrations, and reiterate that if you take issue with that, we don't want your money. #blm#rollforequality
I'll draw this on 13 July and post to socials. I invite others in the industry to contribute their own if they like. These two charities work to increase literacy levels in Indigenous children in Australia -- I can't think of a game-specific charity, so this is the best I have!
