KRATOS respected that woman but his army of dumbass fans dont want to learn more about the woman who managed to calm the fucking ghost of sparta, fuck all of you, fake fans
As much as I want to give guff to Martin here, this is actually a nightmare that I would not wish upon anyone in the creative space.
Someone taking and bastardizing your work and saying “it’s not yours anymore” is just awful, and if Condal’s behavior truly is this way, he should be ashamed.
When you are adapting a story, it’s not yours. You can try to tweak it, make alterations to it, but it will never be your story. If you’re so desperate to turn it into your work, to Ship of Theseus your way into taking over something, you should have wrote something original on your own.
This is a massive issue with Hollywood today. Screenwriters and producers just taking things and thinking they can “do better” than the original creative, sucking the soul out of the work to fit their view that bends over backwards to tell something different like a skinwalker.
Are there cases where the adaptation is better than the original work? Yeah I can’t deny some of that, but if we had to choose between allowing some of these better adaptations existing vs stopping stories from getting bastardized, I would choose the latter everytime.
If you want to tell a story you prefer:
Write. Your. Own.
Amanda Seyfried says “I’m not fucking apologizing” for calling Charlie Kirk “hateful”
“I mean, for fuck's sake, I commented on one thing. I said something that was based on actual reality, actual footage and actual quotes. What I said was pretty damn factual, and I'm free to have an opinion”
