Meet Cameron Fink, Ned Koh, and John Kessler — the young founders behind Aaru.
When they started the company in 2024, Cameron was 18, Ned was 19, and John was only 15.

Companies can ask these simulated populations questions and predict how real consumers are likely to respond — without spending months organizing surveys and focus groups.
But convincing companies to trust imaginary consumers wasn’t easy.
So the founders developed a simple sales strategy:
They asked potential clients for the results of studies they had already completed, ran the same questions through Aaru, and compared the answers.
The simulations repeatedly came close to results companies had spent huge amounts of money collecting from real people.
That became their proof.
Aaru started winning projects in consumer research, product testing, marketing, and political polling — areas traditionally controlled by large research firms and consulting teams.
The company eventually attracted clients including EY, McDonald’s, Bayer, A24, Chanel, and Coca-Cola.
Fast forward to today:
• Reached a headline valuation of $1 billion.
• Raised more than $50 million from investors.
• Built its platform in just over two years.
• Turned AI agents into an alternative to traditional market research.
• John was so young at the start that his father had to approve investment documents.
Here’s the lesson:
They didn’t build another general AI assistant.
They found an industry where companies were already spending millions on slow, manual research — and gave them a faster way to get the same answers.
The biggest AI opportunities may not come from creating entirely new markets.
They may come from replacing expensive processes businesses already pay for.
