@TBO_MTG@abastecki@lotuslore02@PlayMTG Correction: I believe initial cap was actually 1200, they capped ~4 weeks before the event. Added 300, capped again and added another 300.
600 additional players at $125 entry is $60,000+ profit. I'm glad this event was so successful and totally ok with profits, but throw a bone
@TBO_MTG@abastecki@lotuslore02@PlayMTG This isn't really what the post is about. They either should have added a 15th round or shouldn't have increased the cap by 300 players knowing they couldn't lengthen the event. Either of these solutions would have felt more equitable.
@MrChecklistcard Seems like a classic case of solving a problem with previous system and then running into it again a second time🤔
The fact that they'd had an explicit cap and prize pool then added more entries with zero prize modification is even more frustrating for someone in this situation.
We're taking the next step to make #AndroidXR even more helpful and seamless in your daily life. So much to share from The Android Show | XR Edition today in partnership with @SamsungMobile and @Qualcomm.
We introduced powerful new features for Galaxy XR, including Travel Mode for using your device on the go, PC Connect for streaming high fidelity desktop and laptop experiences to XR, and representing you as a photoreal avatar, with our Likeness feature.
We also shared updates on our AI glasses which we are building with @SamsungMobile, @WarbyParker and @_GentleMonster_. The Developer Preview 3 of the Android XR SDK brings new tools to all developers and opens up development for AI Glasses!
Finally, we also showed how we are expanding Android XR to the broader ecosystem, with Project Aura from @XREAL_Global.

It was an honor to talk about the convergence of XR and AI at @TEDTalks, including a sneak peek of Android XR headsets and glasses powered by Gemini. Big thanks to @Google@SamsungMobile@Qualcomm and partners for an incredible journey so far. More soon!
@MasonW4636344@JFreshHockey The 6% competition metric is pretty telling here. Shows Bednar has been heavily protecting him because he didn't trust him against top talent.
@darrylw71@frank_seravalli You think booing is lacking class while their leader and a large percentage of their population is talking about annexing us?
Give me a break.
Turning the crowd audio off during the US national anthem at 4 nations was downright unpatriotic. @Sportsnet you should be ashamed, let people make their peaceful protest.
@GavinVerhey Looked through again, Deck 8 seems a bit short on tutors so not sure it would have the consistency. Really only skimmed the first 10 picks or so in first post.
Still my first choice, but seats 3 and 6 also looks solid. I think 3 in particular is probably very difficult to play.
@GavinVerhey Have previously done this twice with a powered vintage cube. I'd bet a lot it was seat 8 that went 14-0. The LED/Breach/Freeze package is just too busted, especially when the deck also got 2 mox.
Second pick would be seat 5 with ring + crypt.
@toothymtg1@AliEldrazi If judge can't make a clear call to fix the game state then the MTR needs to be changed. Both players agreed the land should be tapped.
Tap the land.
I understand if they underpaid and have no extra mana you have to continue, but in this case the fix is trivial.
@thief_of_crowns@NordicRest@AlfaPhrog Treating these mistakes as equivalent is nonsense.
I'm not arguing with what is written, but the IPG should allow a judge to have the common sense to just tap the land here.
Also more adequately specify that not noticing an error is not equivalent to actually making an error.
@thief_of_crowns@NordicRest@AlfaPhrog Fair, I understand this is a larger policy comment.
Also understand full rewind is preferable, but if it cannot be completed then game state should be fixed to a point that is advantageous the player who didn't make the error, rather than the player who did like it was here.
@thief_of_crowns@NordicRest@AlfaPhrog Not being able to simply tap a permanent that should be tapped seems like a clear and egregious oversight. Why is untap included but tap is not?
Similar example to mana is declare attack, deal damage, notice creature not tapped next turn. No way it should just "gain vigilance".
@tommartell@kaibudde@OndrejStrasky As a rule I'm never opposed to calling a judge at any time. But ya, regardless of what the judge says, everyone knows the right thing to do is just tap the land and move on. wtf.
