Today, our Regional Director Fabienne Perlov expressed ADL's support and appreciation for the San Diego City Council approved proclamation recognizing April 16, 2023 as "70 years of Holocaust Survivors in San Diego Day". Holocaust education is vital to #learntoneverforget and ensure the next generation knows the stories of the survivors and how they created new lives in San Diego. We want to especially thank Council President Elo-Rivera and Councilmember Campbell for sponsoring this proclamation.

Today marks 17 years since the death of #IlanHalimi z”l, a young French jew who was kidnapped, tortured & held for ransom for 24 days before being murdered. This heinous crime was motivated by #antisemitism — Halimi was targeted because he was Jewish. May his memory be a blessing
