£8.5m for Spurs’ starting goalkeeper and his backup. 🔒👀
With Vicario out and listed for transfer…
Is this the easiest goalkeeper decision of the season? 🤔 #FPL
🤝 Pre-Season | 🔴 Bournemouth 5-2 Augsburg ⚪️🟢
⚽️ Goals:
• Evanilson • Alex Tóth • Ben Doak • Marcus Tavernier • Enes Ünal
🎯 Assists:
• Justin Kluivert • Daniel Jebbison ×2 • Harold William • Marcus Tavernier
🚨 Concern for Bournemouth as Evanilson was forced off with an injury in the 49th minute. 🤕❌

🚨✍️ My strongest GW1 opinion…
The biggest mistake this season won’t be going without Bruno, Gabriel, or any other premium.
It’ll be not starting with a Man City triple-up.
Here’s why:
• Bournemouth are without Kroupi Jr., and Andoni Iraola’s departure is another big factor. • Crystal Palace have lost key players and haven’t looked convincing in pre-season. • Then City host Coventry.
That’s more than enough to make a City triple-up the standout GW1 strategy.
Even beyond those games, I’d argue City have the best opening fixture run in the league, alongside Liverpool.
📈 My expected top City point scorers:
🥇 Haaland 🥈 Gvardiol / O’Reilly 🥉 Foden ⭐️ Semenyo
Early fixture runs can define your season.
Don’t overthink it.

📋 My predicted Liverpool XI for GW1.
This is how I currently expect Liverpool to line up for the opening gameweek.
• Mac Allister and Víctor Muñoz are expected to return later, making them unlikely to start GW1.
• Ramsay could lose his place to Frimpong depending on the rest of pre-season.
• If Barcola completes his move to Liverpool, he’s unlikely to be thrown straight into the starting XI and would most likely be eased in ahead of Gakpo.
👀 That could open the door for Ngumoha to play significant minutes on the right wing early in the season.

🚨 One stat every #FPL manager should see… 🤯
Most shots by defenders last season:
🥇 Neco Williams (46)
🥈 O’Reilly (41)
🥉 Hume (34)
4️⃣ Guehi, Pedro Porro & Calafiori (32)
Most shots inside the box:
🥇 O’Reilly (33)
🥈 Guehi (30)
🥉 Mosquera (28) (wol)
4️⃣ Virgil van Dijk (27)
👀 Here’s what these numbers tell us:
🇳🇿 Neco Williams – Wing-back, gets into the box regularly and takes some set pieces. The only concern is Forest’s opening fixtures.
⭐ Hume – Played both at full-back and on the wing. A brilliant budget pick if he keeps the advanced role.
🔵 Guehi – Huge threat from set pieces, excellent DefCon, and Man City won the most corners last season.
🔴 Virgil van Dijk – 6 goals last season, elite DefCon, and even more appealing if Liverpool improve defensively.
💎 O’Reilly – Often plays like a second striker. Massive upside if he’s fit and nailed.
🔴 Calafiori – Outstanding shooting numbers despite only 22 starts. Could be one of the bargains of the season.
⚪ Pedro Porro – On set pieces, constantly attacks, and Spurs’ defence could improve this year.
📈 Defenders could be the biggest source of value in FPL this season if you identify the right ones early.

🚨💣 BIG Premier League move!
Gonzalo García joins Fulham from Real Madrid in a deal worth €42m. 🔥
If he’s priced at £6.0m or less, he’ll immediately enter the FPL conversation.
👀 Fulham face three newly promoted sides in their opening fixtures…
That run alone could make him one of the best budget forwards to start the season with.
💰 Price prediction: £6.0m or lower?

◉ €40m fixed fee.

💎 Differential of the Day 💎
🚨 Georginio Rutter (£5.5m)
One of the most interesting budget picks in the game. 👀
⭐️ Expected to become Brighton’s first-choice striker following Danny Welbeck’s departure.
⭐️ Just £5.5m.
⭐️ Only 0.7% ownership.
⭐️ Can play as a striker or just behind the forward.
⭐️ Expected to be a nailed starter.
Last season (20 starts):
⚽️ 3 Goals
🅰️ 3 Assists
If he locks down that No.9 role, don’t be surprised if he becomes one of the biggest value picks in FPL.

🚨✍️ Bench Boost in GW1?
I’m not doing it.
But I genuinely think it’s a much stronger strategy this season than it used to be.
✅ Unlimited transfers + Bench Boost.
✅ Get it out of the way early.
✅ No need to build your season around it.
The risks are obvious:
❌ £100.0m budget.
❌ Uncertain lineups.
❌ You could miss a surprise Double GW.
There’s definitely a case for using it in the opening weeks…
Just not in my team.
Bench Boost early or save it for later? 👇

⭐️ Isak (£9.0m)
One of the standout forward options to start the season.
✅ Great opening fixtures.
✅ Ekitiké’s long-term injury should only increase his appeal.
✅ Nailed to lead the line.
⭐️ High ceiling if Newcastle hit the ground running.
The only concern?
💰 £9.0m still feels a little expensive.
He’s not in my draft right now…
But he’s firmly on my watchlist and could become a priority transfer if he starts the season well.

🚨✍️I don’t understand the rush to own Palmer.
Chelsea’s opening fixtures:
🆚 Fulham
🆚 Brighton
🆚 Arsenal
You’re basically betting on one good return in GW1. If he blanks, many managers will start questioning the pick.
I’d rather start with Bruno + João Pedro, then move to Palmer later if:
✅ He’s in form.
✅ Bruno isn’t delivering.
You’ll also have the extra budget to upgrade elsewhere, like bringing in a premium defender.
Am I missing something, or is patience the better play? 🤔

⭐️ ✍️ My favourite £5m defenders right now: ✅
⭐️ Vušković – 12.1 DEFCON per game + 6 goals in 28 matches.
⭐️ Neco Williams – 150 open-play crosses. A true wing-back under Glasner.
⭐️ Jacquet – Looks nailed in Liverpool’s defence.
⭐️ Van Hecke – Elite DEFCON option in a strong Spurs defence.
⭐️ Maguire – 8.2 DEFCON/90 + a big threat from set pieces.
