🚨 Liam Rosenior confirms he’s involved in Chelsea plans for future: “We've had, even over the last week, very detailed conversations about what we need to look like after the summer window”.
Of the six managers Marc Cucurella has worked under at Chelsea, he says Enzo Maresca was the "most important" — and doesn't think the club should have parted ways with the Italian in January.
“The instability around the club comes from this, in a nutshell.”

🚨Cucurella: “We have a good core of players. The foundations are there. But to fight for major trophies such as the Premier League or the Champions League, you need MORE. Signing young players only might complicate achieving those goals.” [@TheAthleticFC]

They think briefing this makes them look better 😭😭😭😭
‘Hey everyone, don’t blame us for this, we’re so terrible at building a winning football team that our manager has been desperately clawing at the door to escape for months so really it’s his fault’
🚨Enzo Maresca has stood by his comments about not feeling supported, saying: “It was not an emotional reaction, I said what I said, full stop.” [@MrDomSmith] https://t.co/TQxeSyra3j
The only relevant point here is that if your leadership structure can’t work with Maresca, who has as palatable a personality as you’re likely to find in a top manager, and has the gratitude of being in his first big job…
… then it can’t work with anyone.
Enzo Maresca says Moises Caicedo deserved his red card, but he's confused why Piero Hincapie was not likewise dismissed for whacking Trevoh Chalobah. "He has a black eye, it's swollen, he was having ice at half-time."
Estevão was looking dangerous even before the goal. He also created a big chance for Enzo and was making the ball stick in the final third more than Neto. He was partly why Chelsea dominated the last 15 minutes. Superb impact.
