Hitler was not a "far-left socialist".

The Nazis were NOT socialists in any meaningful way, especially after 1934. In fact, Hitler's Nazis rounded up, imprisoned, and executed many union-leaders, left-wing activists, left-wing intellectuals, Communists, Marxists, and Socialists.

The party's full name (Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei) used "socialist" rhetoric for propaganda value and to appeal to disaffected workers amid Weimar Germany's economic chaos.

Hitler joined early, seized control, and tolerated some left-leaning elements (e.g., the Strasser brothers) only temporarily to expand support.

Once in power (1933), the Nazis quickly revealed their fascist nature: they allied with conservatives and rich industrialists (today, people like Elon Musk and Peter Thiel), purged communists/socialists/Jews from government, banned trade unions and other parties, and murdered Gregor Strasser (the leading "left-wing" Nazi) during the 1934 Night of the Long Knives. Any genuine socialist traces were eliminated.

In short, the "socialist" label was opportunistic branding, not ideology. The regime was radically nationalist, racist, and anti-Marxist, anti-Left, anti-Union, anti-Communist, and anti-socialist.

On foreign nationals in prison: as of June 2025, non-UK nationals were 12.4% of the prison population against a roughly 12% share of the 16+ population. That is parity. The Migration Observatory found that controlling for age and sex (migrants skew young and male, the most offence-prone demographic regardless of nationality) you would expect 13,615 non-citizen prisoners on 30 June 2024. There were 10,422. That is underrepresentation.

Non-citizens are also underrepresented in prison for violence against the person and robbery. Bell, Fasani and Machin (2013) showed the mechanism: EU8 migrants who had full labour-market access showed no crime effect. Asylum seekers barred from working showed a small property-crime association. The variable is class position, not nationality.

On violence: three methodologically independent systems show large, sustained falls. The CSEW: violence down 75% from the 1995 peak. Homicide: 8.6 per million in YE March 2025, the lowest since 1977. NHS A&E violence-related attendances: down 53% since 2010, 65% since 2001. These cannot be explained by recording changes. If the concern is underreporting, the CSEW exists to capture unreported crime, and you cannot underreport a death or a hospital admission.

On sexual violence: the CSEW shows a modest rise over the past decade (1.7% to 2.4% for 16 to 59 year olds). That is real. But the CSEW collects no perpetrator ethnicity or nationality data (confirmed by ONS via FOI), so the rise cannot be attributed to immigration from the source that measures the trend. The large rises in police-recorded sexual offences are driven by improved recording and new Online Safety Act 2023 offences; the ONS states police data "do not provide a reliable measure of trends over time".

On the immigration and crime link: the peer-reviewed causal literature consistently finds no significant effect. Bell, Fasani and Machin (2013): no effect on violent crime. Marie and Pinotti (2024): no significant impact on local crime rates across 55 countries over 30 years. Migration Advisory Committee (2018): there is no evidence that migration affected crime rates in England and Wales.

On Northern Ireland: NI is 96.6% white. Only 4.9% of the population held exclusively non-UK or non-Irish passports at the 2021 Census. Yet 17% live in poverty, 1 in 5 households experience food insecurity, and PSNI recorded crime hit its lowest level since records began in 1998. If immigration drove crime, NI should be close to crime-free. It is not. Crime tends to track deprivation, not demography.

On towns looking worse: they do. That is deindustrialisation, austerity, and the collapse of public services. My understanding is that the causal chain leads to material conditions that create structures that produced abandonment, not to people who share the same material conditions.

There is a good chance I am wrong. If there are datasets that disprove what is laid out here, please provide them.
