BREAKING: Star Democratic Congressman Jamie Raskin unleashes a truly epic tirade against Republicans for pushing us to the edge of a disastrous government shutdown — and exposes all of their embarrassing remarks that prove they're to blame.

This is EXACTLY the kind of fiery rhetoric we need right now.

"So let's get it straight. We're 62 hours away from shutting down the government of the USA, and Republicans are launching an impeachment drive based on a long debunked and discredited lie," said Raskin.

His succinct description of what the Republicans are doing is spot on. They have no real crimes to allege against President Biden, and have resorted to vague accusations of corruption.

"No foreign enemy’s ever been able to shut down the government of the United States, but now MAGA Republicans are about to do just that," Raskin went on.

"But they don't want to cut off public services to the people and deny paychecks to more than a million service members without first launching an impeachment drive even when they don't have a shred of evidence against President Biden for an impeachable offense," he said.

"And you think I'm being harsh? Here's what some Republicans have had to say over the last week about the actions of the Republicans as they watch up close..." said Raskin, before unleashing a flurry of brutal quotes from Republicans about themselves—

"The Disfunction Caucus at work."

"Clown show." "

"Foolishness."

"Terribly misguided."

"Stupidity."

"Failure to lead."

"Lunatics."

"Disgraceful."

"New low."

"Pathetic."

"Enabling Chairman Xi."

"People that have serious issues."

"Those folks don't have a plan."

"Shows just how broken they are."

"Individuals that just want to burn the whole place down."

"Now, if I said any of these things they'd probably take my words down but these are Republicans talking about Republicans," said Raskin.

"So let's be clear," he went on. "This isn't partisan warfare America's seeing today. It is chaotic infighting between Republicans and Republicans. It's MAGA versus Extreme MAGA as if anybody in the real world could tell the difference between the two. What a staggering failure of leadership!

Raskin also suggested that Donald Trump is pushing for a shutdown and impeachment hearing because he thinks it might save him from his indictments.

Raskin ALSO tore into failed Kevin McCarthy for his "invertebrate appeasement" which "now threatens the well-being of every American."

If our government ends up shut down, don't let anyone tell you that Democrats are to blame. Republicans own this catastrophe. They are incapable of governing.
