@MrBoothY6 We have started to use Sparx reading programme. Students choose a book to read on devices or laptops and there are quizzes which check understanding as they progress through the book. Teachers see reading speed, comprehension etc. So far so good.

This is so important. Teachers who I see in my clinic have told me of dealing with brain fog and losing their train of thought mid-lesson or meeting, battling fatigue with another long evening of lesson planning ahead of them, not to mention the physical effects of hot flushes in already sweltering classroom environments.

We need to give menopausal teachers the tools to thrive in the workplace.

30 years ago today, I started my first teaching post. How things have changed! Blackboard, Banda machine for handouts, no mobile phones, no wi-fi issues, the luxury of an OHP, the handwritten OHP acetates.

Of course I haven’t changed at all 😂😂😂
