When I first listened to the beat it kinda just reeled me in. The beat was already called Shmoke so I just went off that. Started freestyling and found my flow.
Learning how to take rejection and keep going! There’s always gonna be haters and critics who don’t see your vision. You gotta be mentally disciplined to remain persistent and consistent.
I’m mostly a rapper but my music contains elements of pop and pop r&b. I like the dark, spacey and psychedelics sounds too. I describe it as “trip-hop.” Trip-hop is already coined but very loose in definition. I want to redefine it as a sub genre of hip-hop.

Getting funding and support!! Marketing and publicity cost so much if you don’t have the exposure already. Since I’m not a big social media person, I rely on marketing, traveling and getting seen on stage.
The key formula for me is staying organized, prioritizing, writing things down, and staying consistent. I try to stay on top of my accounting too. This is a business. Losing track of money can be detrimental.
