@22thinkinggirl The first, most notable Fabian in Australian politics was Gough Whitlam. There have been many more since then (including Hawke, Keating and, currently, Bowen). The average Australian voter really has no idea. Ignorance in this country will be our downfall.
@KatieGrace2022@SenatorSeanBell Japanese people are also unfailingly polite and respectful, even when confronted by a fool. Pity we have such an ignorant creature as the “face” of our country. I do hope she understands that he is not representative of the general population.
@Crusty54041255@friendlyjordies He’s only got one eye and ear open at all times - the ones on the left. If he ever does some serious digging into labor, where’s there’s heaps of material, then I might be interested. As it is, he’s just another labor simp.
@friendlyjordies And YOU’RE misleading .. the only time the cap was lifted under the Coalition was after borders re-opened post Covid. Try opening both your eyes, instead of just the left one. When I see you actually do some genuine digging into the labor wankers, I might listen to you.
@RohanSprenger@IB01832131@ellymelly Heard of the Fabians? (Slow communism). Whitlam was the first of them to enter our federal parliament, and the first to attempt the social and economic changes which have had far reaching consequences to today.
@bluewavedream@MarkoMatvikov Exactly. It’s actually frightening the amount of ignorance there is in the electorate. Large sections of people don’t even understand the difference between the upper and lower houses, never mind the way the preferential system works. Offer them something “free” and they’re yours
@IB01832131@ellymelly In 1970, when our country was still thriving, before the maxists got into government, our birth rate was 2.96 births per woman. Replacement birth rate is 2.1 in developed nations. Now, under our new, bastardised system, our birth rate is 1.48, well below replacement.
@OMGTheMess@OzPollies I’ve been reading that they’re now doing modelling on including the family home as part of the assets test to receive the aged pension. Up til now, the family home has been definitely hands off. But now we have the commies in charge, so don’t be surprised if this happens. Pigs
@ellymelly Yes I’ve often said that I’d like to know the same thing. There’s an awful lot of investment in renewables and where there’s investment and lots of lovely money, there are sure to be political snouts in the trough. It’s inevitable really.
