Jesus can always reject his father
But he cannot escape his mother's blood
He'll scream and try to wash it off his fingers
But he'll never escape what he's made up of

The 12H is often where our power goes to die bc we have been convinced expressing it will victimize others. Recognize this perspective as a tool of manipulation wielded by adults & caregivers who wanted you to remain quiet & unseen, ultimately victimizing yourself.
A huge part of trauma recovery is committing to NOT talking to ourselves like our bullies & abusers talked to us-- & NOT subjecting our physical body to the extremes of neglect or deprivation our caretakers might have once upon a time.
What I'm saying is, please eat.
After abuse, we end up asking so little from life. We get stuck in those memories & see ourselves as a burden for not adapting better. We shrink our requests for change, pleasure, hope, yet we've already paid for someone else's actions. Please go live. Ask for more. Be free.
Hehe, it's my birthday today! ๐ท No new art so here's some of my illustrations featuring my favorite color palette from the past year. I'd be delighted for retweets for my birthday ๐๐
