Slightly shy about posting this. But I took on Sir Jonathan Bate in the Scotsman this week. I love some of his critical writing, but he’s wrong when he says that state school students have lost the ability to read long books.

Hi @British_Airways a big shoutout to Caroline, a member of Cabin Crew, on flight BA542 on 18th August. She was so lovely to me and we had a really nice chat and she told me all her adventures flying across the world. One of the best flights ever!
While in Paris for a research visit to the Opéra (kindly funded by @BARS_official), I found out I will be joining @uni_tue as a Research and Teaching Fellow next April 2025!
I will teach courses on British Romanticism and Romantic legacies in American literature, as well as working on my second project on memory and forgetfulness in European Romanticism (and hopefully completing the manuscript of my first monograph)
