I share in this podcast a little about my own personal journey as an adoptee removed from harm, the impact later life support had on my mental health & what restorative justice was like for me.

In care I thought I was an only child. In my 20’s I find out via a FB msg that I have siblings. 2020, I bump into a brother for the 1st time by coincidence. This has led to a film about the state of sibling relationships in the care system. Prod by a great team. Out 26th Jan 👊🏽
⏰Exciting news! I'm running my first in-person adoptee peer support group. First of many, hopefully!
Please share with anyone in North London 😊☀️

Starting to think about my research project for my social work course - desperate to do something around adoption and contact - or the experience of adoption through adolescence.
But do you #adoptees have any ideas of topics/areas of our experience that haven't been researched?
Phew! @Fran_Proctor that was a hard listen
For me it highlighted the damage done when people try to do therapy to you with their agenda
Real #therapy occurs when space is held for you to be & then when you are ready, to be enabled
