🇬🇧LA INTELIGENCIA ARTIFICIAL... "DESAPARECERÁ"

La empresa británica Dyson acaba de lanzar un cepillo de dientes de 500 dólares. Se llama CameraJet y tiene una cámara macro de 100.000 píxeles que analiza 28 imágenes por segundo mientras te cepillas.

La de datos sobre tus muelas que van a tener...

Se trata de un sistema de inteligencia artificial que identifica los espacios entre los dientes y, en menos de 100 milisegundos, dispara automáticamente un chorro de enjuague para limpiarlos. El algoritmo, bautizado como Gap Optical Targeting, se entrenó con 470.000 imágenes dentales.

Se entrenó...

Han necesitado seis años de desarrollo, 661 ingenieros, 38 patentes y 16 millones de líneas de código para construir algo que, desde fuera, sigue pareciendo simplemente un cepillo de dientes.

De 500 dólares...

Durante los últimos tres años hemos hablado de inteligencia artificial como si fuera un lugar al que vamos: abrimos ChatGPT, usamos una aplicación, escribimos un prompt. La siguiente fase será exactamente la contraria: la IA desaparecerá.

Estará dentro del cepillo de dientes, del coche, de las gafas, de la lavadora, de la cámara, de la fábrica o del robot doméstico. No tendremos que pedirle que haga algo. El objeto observará el entorno, interpretará lo que ocurre y actuará por nosotros.

Cámara. Datos. Algoritmo. Decisión. Acción.

Ese ciclo, que hasta hace muy poco necesitaba a un ser humano en medio, empieza a caber en un cepillo de dientes. Por eso probablemente dentro de unos años dejaremos de hablar tanto de “productos con inteligencia artificial”.

Será como anunciar hoy una tostadora “con electricidad”.

La tecnología realmente importante termina siempre de la misma manera: dejando de parecernos tecnología.
