Not only is hei-Wa having to run Galgos del Sol on minimum pay, but now he’s been asked to take up modelling, too! 😂
Okay, so it might not be Milan or Paris Fashion Week, but it’s still a pretty important gig!
He’s making his modelling debut for the wonderful book Sighthound Stories created by Myriam. 📚🐾
Galgos del Sol wrote a few chapters in the book, one of which is about Rocket 🚀. Tissues might be needed. Hei-wa was a little disappointed to discover that he’d arrived just after the feature was done. Otherwise, naturally, the entire book would have been about him! 😎

🐾 Ben Cilvenaz. Eski uyuz, yeni prenses! 👑

Öncelikle ismimden de anlayacağınız üzere ben aslında asil bir hanımefendiyim. Ama hayat bana pek de hanımefendilere yakışır davranmadı.

Borçka Barınağı’ndayken üzerimde bir gram tüy yoktu. Uyuzlar, pireler, açlık, hastalık… Vücudum ateş gibi yanarken ben soğuktan titriyordum.

Öyle kaşınıyordum ki kaşınmaya ara verip yemek yemeye bile fırsat bulamıyordum. Zaten mama desen kıt kanaat. Diğer köpeklerle yarışacak hâlim de yoktu. Kemiklerim sayılıyordu, tüylerim sayılmıyordu. Çünkü hiç yoktu!

Sonra bir gün HAYDİKO'yla karşılaştım.

Beni aldılar, Mucizeler Diyarı’na getirdiler. Klinikler, hastaneler, ilaçlar, banyolar, tedaviler, özel mamalar derken ben yeniden hayata tutundum.

Şimdi mi?

Tüylerim çıkıyor, sağlığım yerine geliyor, iştahım maşallah pek yerinde. Biraz da şımardım. Ne yapayım? Yılların mağduriyetini telafi ediyorum. 😌

Ama size bir teklifim var.

🐾 We haven’t had much time to post lately, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have stories to share with you! ❤️

It’s been a busy week, filled with so many special moments! From welcoming our dear friends from our sister organisation in Germany 🇩🇪, to rescuing a mama dog and her three puppies from the pouring rain 🌧️🐶, celebrating adoptions, and visiting schools as part of Romania’s “Școala Altfel” (Different School Week) programme. 🏫💚

We’ve been running around, working hard, saving lives, teaching children, and experiencing moments that fill our hearts with joy. ❤️

Sometimes, we get so caught up in everything that needs to be done that we simply don’t have time to share it all with you as it happens. But behind the scenes, every single day brings a new story, every rescued animal gets a second chance, and every child who learns to treat animals with kindness gives us hope for a better future. 🐾

It’s been an intense week, but we wouldn’t have it any other way! 😍 Despite the exhaustion and all the challenges, these are the moments that remind us why we started this journey in the first place.

So stay tuned! We have so many beautiful stories to share with you! 💚

Yesterday, two Quantock Staghound hunters were up in court over the killing of this stag, with one of them facing a further charge.

This happened in Rachel Gilmour MP’s constituency of Tiverton & Minehead.

Gilmour recently wrote in defence of trail hunting in Hounds magazine, describing it as “forming part of a long and richly woven rural social fabric that binds farms, villages and families together through shared work, ritual, and memories”

What a load of romanticised guff. 🙄💩

Dressing up the sort of barbarism witnessed here, and more recently at the Quorn Hunt on Friday, in flowery language about rural traditions doesn’t make it less barbaric. This is cruelty, not culture and she should be ashamed. Rural communities overwhelmingly reject this barbarism in line with the rest of the country.
